EXCLUSIVE: Agenda disappears from Obama Web site

www.washingtontimes.com

Gone are the promises on how an Obama administration would handle 25 different agenda items - everything from Iraq and immigration to taxes and urban policy - all items laid out on his campaign Web site, www.BarackObama.com.

Instead, the official agenda on Change.gov has been boiled down to one vague paragraph proclaiming a plan “to revive the economy, to fix our health care, education, and social security systems, to define a clear path to energy independence, to end the war in Iraq responsibly and finish our mission in Afghanistan, and to work with our allies to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, among many other domestic and foreign policy objectives.”

I was glad I got to see this happen as it developed. I first noticed the change in the 'requirement' of service that the WorldNetDaily Post mentions. Then I went to start saving copies of everything before it was all changed, and sure enough, the Obama group removed it all before it would hurt them. Too late. We already knew what kind of quasi-communist state he wishes to see govern the USA.

Did anyone by chance get to save a record before it was all removed?

Notice the crickets? Yeah, thats all his supporters who could care less. Obvama can do no evil, even if its going back on every damn thing he said to get elected. They will simply dismiss it as typical politician tactics.

I really like this part of the story . . .

“We are currently retooling the Web site,” said Obama spokesman Nick Shapiro.

Yes teacher, my dog really did eat my homework . . . honest . . . poke a needle in my eye!

All I can say is THANK YOU. I like it when people have to live up to their word. It makes liars that much easier to spot! Since all politicians are trained liars, it's sort of redundant. But I truly appreciate the foresight on your part.

Star for you!

I told everybody that his primary plans changed in the general election and that his general election plans would change once he became President. So here we are with a new game plan. And that new game plan is wait and see. Obama knew he was promising too much and could never deliver on everything he promise. Lucky for him most people don't care. All they care about is that he won.

In one of the stories I read, it said the agenda is still available on Obama's shill . . . er . . . campaign site.

I've looked but it done seems to have disappeared from there too.

Shocking.

Strange indeed... it dissapeared from change.gov as well...

Perhaps it is being updated? I guess we´ll have to wait and see...

Just edited to add a thought; shouldn´t it be cached on either Google or that way-back-machine-thing?

I checked that and it was already removed from google cache. The cache may have just been overwritten by the newer page, or specifically removed. From personal experience I know that if you make a request of them to update or erase their cache of a site you manage/own, they will.

I've grabbed an index of where these pages were, before that's inaccessible, too. Should help if searching for cached copies:

Civil Rights
Defense
Disabilities
Economy
Education
Energy & Environment
Ethics
Faith
Family
Fiscal
Foreign Policy
Healthcare
Homeland Security
Immigration
Iraq
Poverty
Rural
Service
Seniors & Social Security
Taxes
Technology
Urban Policy
Veterans
Women
Additional Issues

Also, CNET has an article on this, here, with cached pdfs of three of the pages.

Sorry to tell you this is not an exclusive as it was all across the net a mere two hours after it was pulled. It was linked to an NRA page and then they pulled it. The page was cached by google and as far as I know all the lies and broken promises can still be had.

If you find them on your own...The truth is out there.

Um.. because they are redoing their website, suddenly, he isn't going to live up to campaign promises?

That's a stretch even for this site. How about.. we let him actually take office and try to do what he says, before we string him up, eh? Missing text from a website doesn't mean he suddenly has a completely different agenda. Jump to conclusions much?

First, I think it is his campaign positions that people are afraid he WILL live up to that scares them.

Second, it isn't that they are 'updating' the site. Its the fact that the agenda he had listed was controversial and very socialist, requiring government service, and promoting illegal amnesty etc.

This is a story because they are pulling there plans because of the flak and fear it is generating.

To me its seems, that now that he has more inside access he sees the damage and what needs to be done. Could it be he was very hopeful until he saw what lay ahead. All you critics kill me. He is not even in office yet. I dont recall our past presidents being under the microscope this much.

If mccain were in office he'd probably be making plans to attack iran and someone else. it is what it is people.

Heh... you nailed it. As an Obama supporter, I can definitely say that you are right. We do care less. We have no problem with him removing that which is being blown out of proportion and used as ammo against our new administration.

Lovin it.

origin.barackobama.com...

Um what are you talking about? I still see the issues and stances there.

Also we always have this. His voting record and stances he took on the Campaign trail.

As someone who regularly checks Political information. Change.gov wasn't even launched till Nov. 6th. And when I went to it last, last week, a lot of parts were still under construction.

. Change.gov is a website launched by the Obama team's Presidential Transition Project which documents the transition into power and solicits ideas from the public. Change.gov

I think I should change my title to 'Republican Mythbuster'

p.s. Sorry I wasn't here sooner to prove false your disinfo, I was busy making dinner and playing Gears of War 2.

Found this at 12:19 pm Tennessee time ... Nov.11th 2008...

It is online...I will copy a couple of quotes and leave a link ...

Integrate Service into Learning

* Expand Service-Learning in Our Nation's Schools: Obama and Biden will set a goal that all middle and high school students do 50 hours of community service a year. They will develop national guidelines for service- learning and will give schools better tools both to develop programs and to document student experience. Green Job Corps: Obama and Biden will create an energy-focused youth jobs program to provide disadvantaged youth with service opportunities weatherizing buildings and getting practical experience in fast-growing career fields.
* Expand YouthBuild Program: Obama and Biden will expand the YouthBuild program, which gives disadvantaged young people the chance to complete their high school education, learn valuable skills and build affordable housing in their communities. They will grow the program so that 50,000 low-income young people a year a chance to learn construction job skills and complete high school.
* Require 100 Hours of Service in College: Obama and Biden will establish a new American Opportunity Tax Credit that is worth $4,000 a year in exchange for 100 hours of public service a year.
* Promote College Serve-Study: Obama and Biden will ensure that at least 25 percent of College Work-Study funds are used to support public service opportunities instead of jobs in dining halls and libraries.

There is more on the link here...

www.barackobama.com...

I don't like the mandatory community service...My son is in middle school...I am disabled and we can not keep up our own upkeep of our own home as we should...

I hope this is what you were looking for...???
