Change.gov, before it goes away.
Thanks.
Well, it is only one agenda.

online.wsj.com...

Democratic leaders are considering doubling the low-cost loans to be offered to ailing auto makers to $50 billion as part of a second economic-stimulus package, Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D., Mich.) said in an interview Wednesday. A second package of $25 billion in loans would be on top of the $25 billion of credits signed into law this fall and earmarked to help companies retool plants to produce new, fuel-efficient vehicles.

blogs.zdnet.com...

CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) standards passed by Congress late last year.

The problem the companies face is a simple one: consumers want big, heavy, fast vehicles that feel safe on American highways while Congressionally mandated CAFE standards are designed to force the American car industry to make small, light, and relatively low powered vehicles.

Why are you replying to me with that link? I linked - and even quoted - that on my post.

Again, you are talking about America Serves, while the Washington Times article (and the topic of this thread for that matter) is regarding the Agenda.

What I said in my first post stands: Until someone shows that there was a complete Agenda on the Change.gov website, this is a non story.

edit: I wrote Washington Post instead of Washington Times. fixed.

Has anyone got any proof that there was a complete Agenda on the change.gov website?

Change.gov is a BRAND NEW WEBSITE (went online Nov. 6th).
Obama Launches Change.gov

The ORIGINAL election website, with ALL the Issues and promises, is STILL available here:
origin.barackobama.com...

As far as I can tell this thread is a bunch of hogwash... Take the time to read the article! They copied the original website TO change.gov and then proceeded to make the appropriate changes to it for the NEW website. Why have 2 websites that are exactly the same? And why start all over again when some of the basic graphics and stuff are the same?

"We are currently retooling the Web site," said Obama transition spokesman Nick Shapiro.

The 25 agenda items and Mr. Obama's action items for each are still available on Mr. Obama's campaign site.

I can't believe how desperate some people are...

i posted this because the connection with gas ,employment and canada and mexico they have the gas and charge usa a higher rate for there gas. if under Obama . Nafta was rolled out in full the gas would not cost alot so powering power stations and running hybrid cars would be cheaper wholesale,so not relying on oil for everything, removing the oil cartel who control the wealth tied up in your country

First, I think it is his campaign positions that people are afraid he WILL live up to that scares them.

Second, it isn't that they are 'updating' the site. Its the fact that the agenda he had listed was controversial and very socialist, requiring government service, and promoting illegal amnesty etc.

This is a story because they are pulling there plans because of the flak and fear it is generating.

That's an unfounded assumption on your part, you don't know this. And it's also your opinion that it's a "very" socialist agenda. Do you even know what socialism really is? What REAL socialist government were like?

This isn't 'very' socialist. Not by a wide margin.

You guys are so funny. It's funny seeing you squirm with conspiracy theories about communism and socialism just because Obama won the election. For all you know, he could be the next Kennedy. You simply DON'T know what he will bring, and that's a a fact we can all sit on at the moment.

If Obama tries to be the next Kennedy, the powers that be calling the shots in Washington will probably see to it that he suffers the same fate. You really think they would give up THAT much control?

His positions are only considered controversial by the fringe right wing of the GOP, you know the ones that are freaking out right now like rabid dogs attacking him for things like...I dunno, updating his website?

Really...they are pulling the plans because of the "flak and fear it is generating"??? Funny that he is pulling them now out of fear of what people might think...AFTER THE ELECTION.

Funny that these "fear generating" plans are part of what got him elected.

It's like you folks are stuck in robotic smear propaganda mode.

The man is updating his website...geesh.

Expectations could not be greater: as Barack Obama selects his team in preparation for the move to Washington, politicians and campaigners from around the world have called for a 'new Bretton Woods', a successor to the agreement that set up the postwar system of fixed exchange rates and created the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. Next weekend's summit could be both a last hurrah for George W Bush, and the first, faltering steps towards a new world econom

S&F - like you said: "notice the crickets?"

They don't care. They wanted change. Well guess what? They got it - along with everything he had promised.

We are heading down a dark tunnel and I sure don't see any light.

I don't see what the big deal is.

Does anyone ever believe any campaign agenda's, promises or statements?

Does the majority of what is said by any politician ever happen?

People tend to put all their faith, hope and trust in one person, but the fact remains that everyone is equal and needs to realize their own inner power.

The government, media, society tells you who you are, what and when to do it, where is your say in anything? Oh, yes the bailout, you all had your say in that.

Let's see I'll vote for one person or party that is backed by an elite group of wealthy people, pick whatever side you want, then I will put most of my trust in that person or group I voted for.

Wake the heck up!

No wonder the masses can be sold rubber dog crap in a bag from China in large volumes.

Does anyone really know what truly matters anymore?

Wow, so Obama is changing his agenda for presidency and all the Bush supporters flip out. I would like to introduce the notion the all the people on here spreading the messages of fear and hate against our new president have fallen victim of the Bush administrations brainwashing programs.

Well we can see it worked, people are still operating on fear and fear alone!

BTW Bush WAS the WORST president EVER... and you voted for him!

What crickets? I and many others have already denied this blatant ignorance. This is NOT a one directional debate, but I wouldn't expect you to bother reading through the other comments before posting your simple "kudos" comment.
