No, I don't, as I do not allow any phone calls of marketing nature.

When I had my home phone I paid the extra charge to black out calls also.

If that is the case, doesn't that make the person's point who said that the poll results are skewed due to most people being unreachable on cell phones?

Not sure that I worded that so that it's understandable - I'm confusing myself here. LOL

Marg, are you predicting a McCain win?

Well I think we get peanty of campaign adverstistment on tv, so phone calls are really no that important.

As for the prediction, right now while Obama is been the one favored, I can not dismiss that America voter registration records may prove that the majority of Americans are not ready for Obama.

America is majority conservative and in between so until tomorrow we may not be able to see how uspset our nation majority truly are with 8 years of Republican hold.

And as predictions say, the Dow is up

I voted and there weren't any lines which was surprising to me.

After voting I went to get gas in my car and overheard some people discussing the election. They were saying that they thought McCain would win California!! That would be a HUGE upset if Cali went for McCain and I don't see ANY way that will happen but it was interesting to hear people speculating a McCain win here in the great state of California.

McCain can win, this has been proven in this day and age of stolen elections and diebold voting machines...

accept of course if Obama wins today.. then this will be the first "non stolen" election.
because we all know that when a conservative wins, he stole it, when a democrat wins he prevented conservative fraud.

Isn't it funny how that seems to be the case? Not funny as in ha ha but funny as in odd or strange.

Gormly, what is your position? Do you think McCain can win?

GOD I HOPE SO

I dont much fancie the death of conservatism. It seems to me that this entire election and its results are a product of the egotists being conserned about global image. Socialist reform is upon us and to be honest it is sickening..... its an excuse for the lazy to become lazier and for the millions poppin out babies they cant afford to get a lil more of my money. I honestly cannot wait until all these people that are going to put Obama in office to realize they have just helped create the United Socialist States of America..... I do know i wont be payin my taxeas anytime soon so some couch lump can get his meth rotted teeth fixed on my wallet.

Nice avatar!

I hope that if you haven't already voted you are on your way to do so now! Also, be sure to remind all of your friends and family to get out there and vote. The voice of the conservatives need to be heard!

Anyone know how the exit polls are going? I'm afraid to turn on the TV!

California strikes me as an interesting state to watch vote-wise.

There are an awful lot of people living in other states due to California's anti-business BS.
Not to mention a lot of small businesses have closed their doors, become equity refugees and are living fairly well in other states.
For the most part, the ones I know are against Obama.

If vote counts are noted by county for California, my thoughts are that Northern California will go for McCain and Southern California for Obama.

Regardless of how you feel or your political affiliation, it's going to be an interesting evening.

Got the Pizza and Beer ready and a small SuperBowl type party getting started in a bit.

Just think, no matter who wins, we should get . . . what? . . . 4-6 months off before the next campaign starts....

If Obama wins and he probably will , I and all of my co-workers will loose our jobs. We are retired Navy still working for the Navy repairing ships. We travel to numerous shipyard working alongside shipyard workers who will also loose thier jobs. Obama has said he will boost the Army and Marines but has been mum on the Navy. Insiders at his camp say he will reudce our carrier force to 8 from 10 and active ships from 283 deployable ships to 220,
I'm sure the majority ofthe country doesnt care but this will bring hard times to Navy towns such as Norfolk, San Diego,Bremerton and others... real estate values will continue to fall in these areas.... So pardon me I will still hope for the other guy...

CINDY:

It's suicide. You've seen him, you know how strong he is. You can't win.

JOHN:

Oh, Cindy. Cindy always tells the truth. No, maybe I can't win. Maybe the only thing I can do is just take everything he's got. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that. I don't know.

That's all I have to say about that!

Interesting - I see it the other way around.

I live in Southern California and 95% of the people I know living in Orange County and San Diego county are voting for McCain. The friends and family I have in Santa Barbara county, San Jose, San Fran, etc. are mainly Obama supporters.

I'm very concerned about the role that exit polls may play. I don't know anyone who would decide not to vote based on exit polls but I know that historically the exit polls have influenced voters to stay at home. The hype around the long lines might act as a deterrant as well which is unfortunate considering the majority of polling sites do not have ANY lines.

I've lived in the same house for the last 10 years and while I've had plenty of people come knock on my door and try to convince me to vote for a candidate, I have never seen 'drive-by's'.

For the last 10 minutes there have been cars driving slowly through the neighborhood, honking their horns and screaming "Vote for Obama" out their windows! These people do not live in my neighborhood.

Thankfully their show appears to be over. It was highly annoying and I don't think ANY of my neighbors appreciated it!

Well, I guess he couldn't win. Props go out to our new President, he ran a campaign without any major errors and a lot a good tactical moves.

Now the real test comes..... will he be able to really get both parties to work together or will it be more of the same.

I am neither here to gloat or to say I told you so.

What I am here to do is to ask all that supported either candidate that we still need to form a more perfect union. Not under either candidate, but under the premise that we as a nation promote a greater good.

Let us band together under a common union of Good.

That somehow through our differences, that the world will be a better place, and not a greater divide.

Peace
