I've been hearing this really strange noise that comes over my house at night. I just heard it right now and I recorded it and I have no idea what it is. Can someone tell me if it's a UFO, and, if not, what could it possibly be?

Can you give more information? Do you live near a airport/airstrip, near a domestic flightpath perhaps? Do you have hills and undulated land where you live? Sometimes the landscape can really screw up sounds and make them sound abnormal/weird.

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND AGAINST ACCESSING THIS SITE/FILE.

My anti-virus caught it trying to download the EV191065.exe Trojan!

Based on the sound NO your not, separate from that who knows--you will know when your visited but will you remember is the question!

Many are visited, few will ever remember!

Many as is in few millions out of billions...

Now I'm sure someone will hit me with, how the H do you know? lol

Ok ok, consider, believe or simply do not believe is my advanced response. I can't attempt to share at this time for those of you who know what line of work I'm in. I can't go into my story at this point or prove a thing, there is nothing for me to prove only share.

Yep, I'm using IE.

Which is why I feel compelled to actively protect it with my ISP's active scanning, which I'm sure is a flavor of one or the other

Yes I live near a flight path. I see a lot of planes flying overhead at night.

Do you think that could have anything to do with it?

I think if the sound I was hearing was from planes I would hear the planes a lot more often.

Helicopters tend to hover or do a tight circle over an area while waiting for landing clearance. They do it over my house all the time, it annoying as heck though when you are trying to sleep.

I can't really hear anything out of the ordinary in the .wma. It sounds very much like a high altitude jet. We get them over our area often and they sound almost identical to your recording.

BTW... What's all that clicking in the foreground? I found it somewhat distracting.

I'm starting to think that the noise I am hearing is a jet.

As far as the clicking noise, I think, that's part of my recording device, but, I'm not really sure.

Are there any train tracks where you live? Say within mebbe five or six miles ? Only reason I ask is that where I live in England , they do a fast train past my town , and the track is about four miles from my house. When it goes past , it doesnt do the clickety clack thing... It just roars past . Makes a pretty similar noise to that.

I don't know. I've heard a train noise sometimes when I've heard this noise, and then, sometimes I've heard this noise without hearing a train noise.
