Military penguin becomes a 'Sir'

A penguin who was previously made a Colonel-in-Chief of the Norwegian Army has been knighted at Edinburgh Zoo.

Penguin Nils Olav has been an honorary member and mascot of the Norwegian King's Guard since the 1972.

Over the years, he has been promoted through the ranks after being adopted by Royal Guard who visited the zoo.

Cute for sure....But does it not take away from the value of a knighthood? I mean i'd be slightly peeved if the highest honour I held was shared with a penguin lol!!

You would be peeved? Sharing an honor with a penguin is something that money can not put a value on outside of title. Titles are given out of fierce devotion and loyalty and lets not forget penguins are monogamous. Penguins as an animal are incredible animals and of course one of my favorites. even though today my animal of the day is a nematode
