Here's a perfect example of the kind of prediction I am looking for.
Who knows, one of these might come true and I'll be eating crow.

That actually happens pretty much on a daily basis.
How bout a 6.0 earthquake?

does it?
not if you're thinking only in north america. if I said the whole world, then yes, because it happens a lot on the ring of fire.

....okay. i'm going to leave that and NOT backspace through the sentence...

turns out there are a large enough number over 4.0 to have one every day...
i'll copy out the stats from 2007 in the US. 4.0-4.9=366, 5.0-5.9=72, 6.0-6.9=9, 7.0-7.9=1

so sure. I was just guessing anyways so lets change it to say, 5.0 or higher. 72 was a high number comparitively, 2006 had 51 from 5.0-5.9

so 5.0 or more seems reasonable. not bumping it up to 6 though, thats just silly

plus you gotta give me some slack it's (going to be) my birthday! lol

I didn't say in the US. I said those were the US stats. (easier to find)
I said in North America, which includes both Canada and Mexico.

And you know what, I'd just like to be able to say I was right.
But I mean, if you'd like to find another way to appreciate such a (lol)incredible and (hahaha)insightful prediction which took me (nowhere near) a long time to foresee

I dunno. Do I get points for my posts being starred? Go around starring all (or maybe just some) of my posts for me to gain points? That would be good enough I think.

I'm not sure you get points for being stared but I'm happy to do it anyway.
Ok, so you're on.
Now we both have to remember.

I am Astyanax, He Who Is Never Wrong For Long.

I hereby predict with 100 percent confidence that a mass UFO flyby will take place at President Hilton's inauguration in November.

3:35pm US Eastern time and I've noticed that our 8.8.8 predicting doom threads have all but gone silent.
Olympic ceremonies went well, Dow is up 300 points as we speak, oil futures are down $5 just today and the temperature in DC is an unbelievable 80F in August and not a cloud in the sky. Almost too perfect right?
Now I know the day is still young, and all you Kreskins out there are still holding your breath.
We shall see.

I believe her inauguration would be Jan 20th.

Back to the OP, I think the whole world including Honolulu has escaped without armageddon descending upon us.
8.8.8 was not so good for the people of Georgia.
But as far as I can tell, not a single ATS member prediction for 8.8.8 came true.
Oh well, there's always the lhc. If that fails to be apocalyptic, I guess there's always 9.9.9.
That should get the old hamster in the prediction wheel going. Upside down 666 and all.
