ok - some people want a split of

Forum A) Photos/Video/Visual Documents

Forum B) Anecdotal Stories/Second-hand accounts/Hoaxes

now that looks good on paper

but others opine that we should split it :

Forum A) aliens

Forum B) ufo`s

if we attempted to combine both ideas - we would have a mess off

Forum A1) Photos/Video/Visual Documents [ aliens ]
Forum A2) Photos/Video/Visual Documents [ UFO`s ]

Forum B1) Anecdotal Stories/Second-hand accounts/Hoaxes [aliens ]
Forum B2) Anecdotal Stories/Second-hand accounts/Hoaxes [ UFO`s ]

but we have not done yet - because the next suggestion is :

Fourm C) hard facts

now what prececly is a hard fact ? one mans " hard fact " is another munkies UTTER TWADDLE

who decides what is a fact - and do we need :

Fourm C1) hard facts [ aliens ]
Fourm C2) hard facts [UFO`s ]

where the heck do you stop ??????????????

sometimes less is indeed more the current alien / ufo single board is not perfect - but its manageble

hoaxers are banned / deleted

and speculations / conjectures and unevidenced claims put in skunk works

dividing the forum further lust leads to more workload for the mods FSMEs and worse

because there aready dummy spitting episodes when threads are moved to skunkworks

just imagine what a quagmire it would creat if someone is deciding what consitutes a ` hard fact ` - and some one would have to otherwise the division of

would be meaningless - if any one could post what ever THEY thought was a " hard fact " there with no recourse for it being moved - even if it was a hoax they fabricated

like i say - becareful what ypu wish for - it may be worse than what you have now

I was going to suggest something like "forum B" but I was going to call it dreams and storys, Good idea .

I vote NAY. I think there's so much correlation between UFOs and aliens -- at least in the discussion of either, that it might well produce a lot of duplication between threads. I don't have much difficulty recognizing a thread that has enough validity/credibility/worth to be interesting (to me).

A reasonable question though OP. Well, except for the "facts" part. Facts are elusive enough, and become almost impossible to establish in the realms of the UFO/alien experience. Perhaps "evidence"?

If I can make another suggestion, I love this site its the best on the web hands down, but I hate the fact its in black.

I understand the correlation, black projects = black forum, but its just hard on the eyes to read threads that are in black

it's right next to user videos.
makes it easier to read but i like the darkness.

Hmmm i agree,i think there needs to be a division from an Unidentified Flying Object and Aliens...the two are polar opposite imo...we should be investigating the object,not presuming about the little aliens inside the craft and if they are nice...or what they eat etc...Course im just a stinky little noob!
