What can be done when someone makes a facebook/myspace about you?

And starts to slander you on there? Saying you are gay, or intrested in men, or what not?

There has got to be some kind of laws against this...

It realy pissing me off...

If you contact the Admins of Facebook and make them aware that the account is false, they should be able to delete it.

Some people have FAR too much time on their hands and need to get a REAL life.
:shk:

If someone is slandering you, then that is what it is. Slander. Online or offline.

It can be a criminal case if you want to make it one, that'll put the fear into who ever would do this. The thought that their stupidity can land them in serious trouble.

do you know who might be doing it? Pissed anyone off lately? Got any mortal (and very immature) enemies?

If you have a clue who it might be,maybe drop it infront of them with something along the lines of "just had the police round, looking into the slander case I'm building against who ever made that page about me" if you're right, you'll know by their rections.

I don't blame you for that. As was pointed out though, if you know the culprit, and this continues, legal action may be your next step.
