Sure, the easiest way is to stop paying dues. Or you could just quit/demit. But you may leave at any time.

Well, I suggest you review the secret tell-all documentary about the Masons, hidden in a film that we weren't quite able to eliminate...Brotherhood of the Bell.

Try to leave the Family...and you sleep with the fishes.

You can leave the Masons but if someone does the Masons will pull a Aldo Raines on them (just in case you have no idea what "pulling a Aldo Raines" is), they take a giant knife and carve a giant unfinished pyramid with the all seeing eye on your forehead. I have heard a rumor that there is another punishment if you leave which involves a goat but talking more about it will get me killed.

Too late. It's time for the throat-cutting tongue-tearing thing and some severing for you, my friend. And something something goat of ten thousand young ... charcoal roasted entrails yadda yadda ceiling fan ... whips and chains something or other cthulu fhtagn, IIRC.

Oh, and the chanting. Must have appropriate chanting. De profundis clamo ad te, Domine...Domine...

It's very easy for one to leave if he so wishes. Refer to ND's post.

Chanting is so, late 1500's. We prefer to sing now.

well thank you both, though I did find what I believe could be the answer.

A Lodge is Just because the VOTSL, the unerring standard of Justice is open on the Altar.

A Lodge is perfect when it has the necessary quorum of seven members.

A Lodge is regular when entered on the register of the Grand Lodge

I apologize, if it was a mistake in asking this, but the title says Ask a Mason.

No?

The punctuation was a bit off, was the comment. "Just perfect and regular" is different than "Just, perfect, and regular". The first will get you comments from me on bowel habits.

To wit:

“A panda walks into a cafe. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots in the air.

"Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes towards the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife annual and tosses it over his shoulder.

"I'm a panda," he says, at the door. "Look it up."

The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation.

Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves.”
