I live in Michigan. About 20 minutes ago i was outside smoking a cigarette on my balcony of my apartment. First i see a orange looking orb going across the sky which didn't have any flashing lights on it and then suddenly the light was gone. There are no clouds in the sky...Then i was looking north towards the north star and i see small light flashes in the sky. I saw a total of 3 flashes, 2 were pretty much in teh same spot and the other was more eastern in the sky. They are small flashes, they do not light up the sky, it almost looks like a tiny firecracker blowing up at night.

Also, for the last 2 weeks or so, when i look to the north at night, the sky is flashing near the horizon. It's not constant or repeating itself in any kind of rythem. As far as i know there is nothing around that could cause it. It literally is lighting up the whole sky as lightening would.

This is just kinda crazy. I always star gaze at night when i smoke and look for shooting stars or satellites...but this is the first time i've seen anything like this. Has anyone else seen or noticed something unusual to the north tonight or lately? Or does anyone have any idea what it could be? Any info would be great.

Thank you

Check out the topic Strange Flashes in the Night Sky. I believe you will find something there along the same lines of what you are seeing.

Ya might wanna cut back on the smoking!

No seriously though, seeing orbs can be a common thing but I hear it's happening alot more frequently now adays.

Orange is a nice color.

But don't we wish they came in pink.

Enjoy the view while ya can.

Yeah i know i need to quit smoking...but hey...we all have our vices. Anyway lately it seems like everytime i turn on the tv there is something on ufos on some channel. I'm also starting to think the ufo topic is actually starting to compete with porn for most surfed topic.

We could be headed for strange times indeed. Going to go back outside and have another one of those SMOKES.

I have seen two blue orbs in my backyard circling then take off with incredible speed and black rectangles in a blue sky like a fluero is blown so no your not seeing things-you are observant.

That is strange.

What is weird is that i always stargaze at night. It's usually only for 10 minutes or so at a time, enough time to have a smoke. But i've never really seen anything out of the ordinary till tonight. My g/f was outside with me at the time and she tried telling me that the 3 small light flashes that i seen were a plane which doesn't make sense b/c the flashes would have been smaller and at a rate. Crazy stuff. Sad thing is, u can't really mention things like this to regular people b/c they give you a funny look and think that you are a moron. I am interested in the subject but no one i know is ever interested. They are more worried about who was eliminated from american idol or who's banging who on grey's anatomy.

its not unusual to see alot of air traffic near any populated area. then again if its only you it might be some type of environmental anomaly like ball lightning or other atmospheric phenomena causing you to think these are ufos.

It could be UFO's unidentified flying objects. With the possibility of ET life forms onboard.Or.
Light flickering flashing in the sky can be Borealis type events.Due to the solar maximum coming up around 2013 its stated we may get gradual northern/southern lights phenomena in places where we haven't had it for a very long time.
Also the orange lights/orbs streaking across the sky could be meteorites.
They aren't even crashing to earth just streaking/flying across the sky (as it appears to you) being sucked into the earths atmosphere and disintegrating.
You should get some kind of camera equipment because it sounds like you've got a nice view.

David please ignore all the meteorite, marsh gas, fire fly ideas. The ufo orbs exist, you saw the most common type the amber/orange variety. WTF they are and where they come from who knows? They seem to be almost organic and pulsate and fly the sky. I see them regularly in the UK mate and they are connected to motherships.

Yeah i definitely don't believe in the explanations some people try to give for these things. I find it crazy that people are seeing the same things. I had no idea that it was that common.

There is definitely something going on and we aren't being told about it. I hope that one day we do, but i really don't know if that will happen in our lifetime.

Also i'd like to ask you if u have seen something similar to this too??

I have a good view of the northern sky, i'm not close to any city so on a clear night u can see LOTS of starts in the sky, but the only view i have is the north because that is the direction the balcony on my apartment faces. Maybe that is why i noticed it in the first place, b/c i was only looking at a small section of the atmosphere. And if i tried to get some camera equipment to try to get some of this on camera, i think my woman would officially call me nuts and leave my ass..lol. I was outside earlier and was actually seeing if my cellphone could pick up the light from an airplane and it didn't. So that's out of the question.

Seen something similar? Oh yes many times, first in 1993, going for a walk, two pure white ufo orbs, dabcing in the sky. From then on many sightings, indeed one can 'help' make contact by using a light, maybe a ciggie or my preferred way, a dynamo torch flashed three times to the west/north west. Best sighting 2006 first got a white pair down, then an orange pair, another orange pair, then behind us a big white sparkling orb, with stuff coming off it like an angle grinder, moved six feet from us and morphed into a pure white holy light emanating holiest light I ever saw. Then my mate said look above and there were about twenty pairs of different coloured orbs above us, the red had lased beams scanning the floor, but they were all perfectly in a circle. Then a mothership donned us four times, that's when we thought WTF if they abduct us and we legged it! You are a very lucky guy David to experience these ufo orbs. Nice that there's more to life than we ever thought, though perhaps it's all their in the religious books lol.

If that had happened to me i probably would have soiled myself..lol. Did all of these orbs always appear in the same area, or were u in different places some or all of the sightings? That's interesting what u are saying but i don't know if i'd have the balls to do it myself

Location? In the Peak District and very near one of the ancient standing stone circles (didn't even know about Arbor Low at the time even though it was just across the road). They are seen many places though that does seem a bit of a stomping ground. Arbor Low is meant to be the apex of a pyramid laid over England that dowsers say is like a motroway system, do ufos use it as a motorway? That's my theory, but what do I know, I'm a dumb ass human being lol. To be honest after that sighting I've sort of laid off the actual hunting for them, it was just too much like Close Encounters, was worried what my family may think if I disappeared and they may think I'd been murdered or something bad in a human manner. Love hearing about others experiences now and theorizing on the whys and wheres sort of thing. Was it one orb or a pair Dave?

Well the first thing that i seen was an orange orb kinda floating from west to east across the sky at a slow speed and as i was looking at it...it completely vanished. Not a cloud in the sky. Then i was looking almost straight north..towards the north star...and i seen 3 flashes of light....almost like a small firecracker had blown up from a distance. It was that kind of flash. 2 of the flashes were in the same spot and the third flash was to right of the others.

After that happened, i started to see a different kind of flash. This lighted up the tree line and the lower part of the sky. I have actually witnessed that many times before. I have gone out a few times tonight already as it really clear once again, but have not seen anything out of the ordinary.

All of this happened within a few minutes of each other. It just had me wondering wtf i had just seen.
