Jackson's son is co-chair of Obama's presidential committee.
At least that's what I've heard on TV.
The Jackson/Obama connection is definately there.

That's true. And here's what Jackson Jr had to say about his dad's comment.

Source

“I’m deeply outraged and disappointed in Reverend Jackson’s reckless statements about Senator Barack Obama.

His divisive and demeaning comments about the presumptive Democratic nominee — and I believe the next president of the United States — contradict his inspiring and courageous career. …

The remarks like those uttered on Fox by Reverend Jackson do not advance the campaign’s cause of building a more perfect Union.”

Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr.

Yep. The TV news has been playing it over and over all day.
It was a VERY STRONG statement from the son about the father.
It looks like the younger Jackson is seriously TICKED OFF.

What a lot of you don't know is that jesse jackson's 2 runs for president were VERY sucessful!

His 1988 run changed democratic pary policy so radically that bill clinton wouldn't have won his primary and obama would have lost to hillary!

This is why jesse has the right to slap obama across the n**s if he see fit!

And that is why obama quickly accepted his apology!

Peace!

What I don't understand is how he keeps his credibility? After Tawney Brown, "heime town" and the Duke case , it seems like he should have lost all of it.

He has lost a lot of credibility, but he has done much good in the past and has the potential to do more! So leave "Messy Jesse" alone!

He said he was sorry and you didn't like him in the 1st place anyway, right?

Peace!

Did he say this before or after Obama's idiotic comment about how we should all not worry about whether or not the illegal aliens will learn English but that we should make sure our kids speak Spanish?

Because as soon as this Jesse Jackson thing broke out, it seemed like all the networks started ignoring Obama's gaffe and talking about this nut instead.

Of course, it's probably more likely that Jackson's just jealous. He's always been an attention-hog and I wouldn't be surprised if he feels outshined right now. All the race-baiters out there probably secretly want Obama to lose so they can blame racist white America. And so they can still claim that blacks are denied success in this country.

After watching the footage several times last night, I've come to the conclusion it was staged. Jesse threw himself under the bus to save Barack's bacon.

He knows if Obama gets elected he'll have a seat in his cabinet right along with Rev. Wright, Al Sharpton, and his son. God help us all..

Maybe Bush will declare martial law before that happens..

Jesse Jackson is an ass. I hate his kind of politics. I am glad he got caught.

Now people can see him for how he really is.

So I guess Jesse Jackson and Obama Girl have something in common, for different reason of course.

Jackson is nothing more than a criminal race baiting extortionist.

Why he is relevant to anything is truly mystifying.

I don't think so. Jackson wouldn't sacrifice himself like that. He made an absolute fool of himself. He thinks too highly of his reputation to do that on purpose.

In a way it would be genius
if this was planned by Obama operatives
to create sympathy...

Think about it- by tearing down the notion
that all African-Americans love Obama-
just because he is black
(in other words, reinforcing his racial identity above all else)
by having a powerful black leader hit him under the belt,
a type of re-evaluation may occur
within the minds of those who reject him
BECAUSE he is black...

I mean, look at the timing...

THE NEXT DAY it was announced that Obama may advertise on
the hood of NASCAR cars!

NASCAR!

The ultimate white, Southern sport!

Red state city!

I am so for Obama anyway, but I wonder if this was indeed planned-
by Obama's people...

Far fetched, but possible...

I don't feel any sympathy. But I had a good laugh. My take is that the Obama campaign is conspiring to provide free entertainment to the American people. The Obama campaign is creating gaffes almost on a daily basis. Here's another one:
