I've always thought there was something weird about Obama, something that made him seem creepy to me. I realized after looking at several photos of him what it was that made him creepy. His eyes, he has very "dead" eyes...
I'm not sure I'm trying to go anywhere with that, but I just that it odd and wanted to point it out to see if anyone else noticed that too.

I don't think he's creepy. I think he is a good change for this country, no more old men running the government. Some one younger who knows what the people want.

You better hope he doesn't turn into what Micheal Jackson turned into. Jk,

But what I do know is that looking into someone's eyes can tell a lie. But Obama, would be more perferable over Bush and Dick Cheney. I did hear some rumor that oh Obama is the 3rd Anti-Christ. Oh Obama is the devil, he's a muslim, he's gay, he's a smoker.

All of this bad attitude from people isn't going to brighten up Obama's future days as being president. But I guess that is expected for being a president, to make all the decisions, and to get crap from people. There's really no trust anymore.

I won't necessarily call his eyes dead. He has full of potential, he has full of energy, he's young, and strong.

I'd say people with dead eyes, are more relaxed, calm, monotone, sad, bored, depressed, tired. I personally have dead eyes. I'm pratically half asleep all the time.

I like Obama. I want him to win just because. He's quite good looking, too. And very charismatic.

Really? Is this your attempt at an 'innocent attack'? Any Tom, Dick, or Harry would see that there's about 9 anti-Obama threads on this site to every pro-Obama thread, so to say 'is it just me' is just a ridiculous way of trying to get into the anti-Obama theme again and again and again.

Read the threads right here on the first page, BEFORE you decide to start a new one.

Obama is a little thin physically, but from what I've seen of him, I like the guy. Abraham Lincoln was skinny or maybe wiry is a better way to put it. Maybe that is what Titans are made of.

Creepy is a pretty nebulous term. I'm trying to think of people I find creepy. How about Larry Silverstein, Jocelyn Wildenstein, Michael Jackson, Weird Al Yankovic, Christopher Walken, Charles Manson, Richard Ramirez, Marilyn Manson, Prince Phillip, Steven Tyler, Jesse Jackson. Is Obama anything like these people? I don't see it.

Unfortunately most people in the US are too lazy to find out what a candidate stands for prior to placing their vote. If you want a socialist in the Oval Office then Obama is your man. But please find another reason to vote for someone other than he is "good looking" or "charismatic" or especially, for the love of God, "Just because"!

And please do not take this as a personal attack. I have seen and heard too many people over the years say the same thing. Voting for any candidate in any election is serious business. It is one of your rights under our Constitution which you obviously could care less about. Of course it is your right to vote for whom ever you please for what ever reason but jesus....!

Do you have any idea how frivolous it makes you sound? If those are the reasons you are going to vote for this man, you are seriously doing a disservice to yourself, your neighbors, and this nation!

Obama is NOT the right man for the job this election cycle. He is the junior senator from Illinois who has not even finished ONE term as a senator yet. What attributes or accomplishments makes him, or anyone else, think he is even remotely qualified to be our persident? This whole cult of personality over this guy is disturbing.

lol he has no accomplishments other than being a Black man that "speaks well"

But people aren't asking for much, after 8 years of Bush they are happy to have a president you can understand, george kind of over speaks and messes words up where Obama never screws up because all he says is "Change"

Which is what we will all be saying soon if he becomes president... while jinggling our cups on street corners, Change, Change

He has a great plan this guy, don't finish the war, give away the oil, send more foreign aid away and get the 7 trillion dollars back via taxing the American people lol

he's a frackin genius this guy

and yeah he is creepy

I don't really find Senator Obama 'creepy'. I don't agree with him on a lot of issues, and I don't like his positions (this week). I can say the same thing about Senator McMain.

What I do find 'creepy' is the almost reflexive defense of Senator Obama by those who support him. Case in point? See above. We must respect Senator Obama. We must not start any threads expressing any sort of negative opinion of Senator Obama. How dare we 'pile on' to poor Senator Obama? Why, there are nine whole anti-Obama threads here on ATS! How DARE you start another one?

How many anti-Bush threads are there? More than the anti-Obama count, I'm fairly sure...so where's the outrage over one more? Not to derail this thread, but I have to ask...why is Obama 'special'?

You see, I guess this is where perception would come into play. Whereas you say 'What I do find 'creepy' is the almost reflexive defense of Senator Obama by those who support him', I say: yeah, guess what, that goes the same for ANYONE who is more liked, not just Obama. So putting Obama's defenders in your own little dream world is quite an unfair thing to do.

You know what I find creepy? The anti-Obama people like yourself who seem to be under this mass delusion that Obama supporters are in a cult-like state of mind who cannot think for themselves. The same crap gets spewed from anyone who doesn't like Obama constantly. It's almost as if Fox News' subliminal messaging is working to tell you all that us Obama folk are mindless zombies.

Why, there are nine whole anti-Obama threads here on ATS! How DARE you start another one?

Yeah, that's what I said. If you're going to debate someone, you should seek first to understand them. Firstly, go read the post again, and when you realize the ridiculous error you've made, you can come back and apologize for taking my words out of context.

Actually, I'm not an American. I don't care if your country descends into utter chaos. And who would have been the right man for the job? Clinton? McCain? Please...

There are tons of threads here about Bush. Way more than Obama. Some are baseless, like a majority of the Obama threads. But then again, Bush has had over 8 years to accumulate them all, and many of the Bush threads do have merit in regards to denying ignorance.

What BigBert was referring to is the campaign going on here at ATS to clutter the board with new inane threads where the posting an op-ed about the candidates eyes that could have been posted in any one of the pre-existing Anti-Obama threads currently being discussed.

But then again, to each their own. If members want to waste our time and bandwidth thats their prerogative. If it makes one feel better to live in self denial, posting ridiculous claims in order earn points at www.johnmccain.com..., so be it.

What I would recommend is the creation of an Anti-Obama Superthread, with links to the hard work of members like Jaime83, a member who has been with us for just over one month, and has already posted at least 33 anti-Obama threads with Obama in the title. That is not counting the ones that are about Obama, but do not directly link him in the thread title. Such an Anti-Obama Superthread would be the perfect place for members to post about the feelings that have about Obama's eyes, or how thin he is, or how he smokes, or maybe a Muslim, or whatever you choose.

We could have a Anti-McCain thread too, where posters talk about the Keating 5, McCain's age, his flip flopping, his past and possible present adultery, his wife's addiction and theft of painkillers. You know, all the tidbits of fact that get lost in the wake of ATS swift boat against Obama.

Just a thought...

I don't think he is creepy at all. I think he is a very strong man, with just one weakness...He may be prone to attention and flattery. He tries to hide this, but I think inside he's loving every minute of what's going on right now.

He is one of the most diplomatic and poised politicians that we've seen run for President of the United States in a long time...But because of this, some people are making him out to be a Christ-like figure, and that may go to his head if he is not careful.

I worry about how he will be after he becomes President. There will be a lot of attention on him, and from what I remember in his early days in the campaign, he had a very bold mouth, especially when it came to firing back at foreign leaders who showed disapproval. It is possible that he can become a little reckless regarding foreign policy if he all of a sudden has everyone's confidence.

When I see him exchanging emails with Scarlett Johansen, I wonder how he's going to be able to resist her. It would take a man with a crotch of steel to not fall for the charms of Scarlett Johansen...

It's little things like this that make me wonder if he will be able to keep his head on straight when he becomes (or may become) the leader of the free world.

There is a little bit of Bill Clinton in Obama, you know?

His eyes, he has very "dead" eyes

"Dark and lifeless eyes, like a Doll's eyes" - Jaws

Scott Peterson has those same eyes. Look at his sitting in court videos or images.

Obama isn't what he may seem to be.
