Scientist claims proof of Afterlife

Im confused as to how a serious scientific study, involves a spiritual medium.
I think that would create to many variables to take the data seriously.

I personally know a man who was clinically dead and resuscitated after a routine operation.No fancy tales of white lights,seeing dead family members etc etc thats proof enough for me that this is pure hogwash as is the concept of an afterlife..from what i gather he is as conscious as anybody else,i say the chemicals in his brain from lack of oxygen didnt stir up images like the few people who have NDE's...lets remember that the vast majority of people resuscitated do not have any such experiences and simply describe it as waking up like after going to sleep,minus the dreams of course.
