New Years Eve Party at the loca bar.

there is an avenue "strasse des 17. juni" which starts at the brandenburg gate
there is a big party, the biggest one in europe with 1,000,000 guests

no i don.t want to be there, to many people, and to cold and i wouldn.t know how to get home in the middle of the night

Yeah, I've never done the Times Square thing, even though I used to live so close that my street was closed to traffic for it.

It's no problem getting home, but standing there all evening and all night, too packed in to move, with people puking on each other, in sub-freezing weather, just doesn't sound like that much fun

I haven't completely decided yet, but I think I'm going to stay in this year. It's super cold out, the wind's picking up, and the annual party my friends will be at is all the way in Soho, and I didn't have a very good time the last couple years there anyway.

And my best friend, who I spent the evening with last year, is going to hang out with his Catholic blogger friends. Not my scene

So it'll probably be just me and the cats. One step further into crazy cat lady territory

usually it is no problem getting home from the city
but it takes me about 1 hour

but the public transport company seems to get surprised by events like new year.s eve as usually, they don.t expect it to happen.
so they forget to extend the schedule and to add more busses and metros. that.s the problem, being stranded in the middle of the night at the brandenburg gate.

nobody invited me and my son this year.
so i am also ending up like you, 2 cats, 1 boy and a girl

anyway 2009 will be our year.

son just got a call by his dad, who refused to take the cookies i made for christmas!

I'd invite you all to my house but the wife doesn't approve of pretty girls, which rules out all the FCP ladies.
Plus there was an incident with Shock a while back so the men are out too, unless they bring their own wet-vac.
