Happy New Year, Orange and Sky!!!!

And Orange, I don't really suppose I did anything with goats or funnels that I would ever admit to...

Don't forget the spatula.

Yay! A party!

*wheels out the the FCP K-Machine*

*Tries to think of something to sing for Orange's just rung-in 2009...

*asks German husband what New Years tradition is Deutchland*

*Finds out it is not a song but this...*

It is indeed an ongoing -- 45 year -- tradition..

Enjoy!

EDIT TO ADD: Okay, I started watching this after I posted and... this is just.. tragic. WTF?! I am not sure what this says about German humor -- oxymoron, I know -- honestly, I feel like I am going insane trying to watch it.

I'm off to read the article now... to try to get some perspective as to exactly how this came to pass... and then perhaps file for a divorce...
j/k

The black-and-white British slapstick sketch, totally unknown in the English-speaking world, has become the highest-rated TV show in German history, and has spawned fan clubs and a cult following of viewers who stage parties to recreate the sketch at home.

happy new year twisi

your husband is geman?

yeah that is THE new year tradition in germany

same procedure a every year james

i dunno what it says about german humor twisi
but it is better than the crap they show now on tv as kind of german humor
that.s why i love monty pythons so much!

don.t be too scared about it!
when it started in the 60s it was kind of feeling international for the germans and being broadcasted after that every year you get used to it like you get used to firework and champagne.
meanwhile they broadcast it on 30 tv stations and you can nearly watch it all new year.s eve long.
i didn.t even watched it today

now memory and s-dog i want to know ALL about goats, spatulas, funnels and why it should be forgotten and why s-dog.s wife doesn.t want to see the men of the fcp anymore.

i completely understand why we girls are out since nobody can compete with us *coughing*

edit:

do you know what.s strange?
looking out of the window at 1:45 am new year.s night and seeing a red blinking light flying across your window!
straight forward, blinking in the middle and red all around,
i thought it was a rocket of the firework but it didn.t exploded, it just flew across the sky
couldn.t be an airplane since there is a ban on nightflights.
very strange

good night FCP

wish you all a very happy new year!

@PJ: It's not your imagination. Every year seems shorter and goes by faster due to your perspective. Think about it. When you are 10, a year is 1/10 of your life and seems to last forever. When you're 20, it's only half as much of your life as it was at ten, and seems to go by twice as fast. You won't believe how fast the years go by at 50....

Classical relativity combined with meta physics I like that, it makes me feel as though I am time travelling

Oh my god, it is 2009 now

Why did 2008 have to end so soon, why couldnt have time wave zero been in 2008.

One question, is the time of our servers synchronised with the extra one second proposed?

And so the clock reads 2009?

Horror.

Time is accelerating!

Time is not accelerating, it goes on in a constant speed, only our relativistic view of time is accelerating.

The clocks have been lying to us since the 30's, man. Same thing happened at London Zoo back in '54, when they replaced all the animals and even the plants and trees with actors.

If the clocks have been lying since 1930, what happened before that.

Edit: yahoo, I have reached 10000 points, in the new year.
