Would our CIA "doctor" photos for it's own benefit?

From what I understand, Dick Insaney had a direct hand in this nonsense. No suprise there---Mr. Chickenhawk extraordinaire, who loves ANY type of potential war profits...

I can't view the article, it's just saying;

'Content Server could not process the request'

So it's either gone or really busy.

Regardless, I wouldn't doubt for a second that your CIA would doctor an image for their own gain. Nor would anyone on this site I reckon.

I couldn't get the article to work either. I hope they show real pictures if they are claiming that we have only seen doctored images. They should also allow a tour of the area by an unbiased observer.

Then we wouldn't be forced to play the "he said she said" game between Syria and the CIA.

It's always a game of he said she said when it comes to intelligence regarding military strikes. Syria may have covered up the site and removed all evidence, or the CIA could be making the whole thing up. Both situations are perfectly believable, and we can only speculate on the motives of each state.

Go ahead Cheney, kill 'em all you're the best! Syria is evil i'm convinced now.Perfect proof thanks for letting us know.

---
I'd prefer trust Ouganda's spying imagery (if they had any) rather than Cia's one i tell you. After all the lies how could it be different, you tell me.

With all the "patriots" working at the cia, i'm sure a couples of ones carefully work out the small details.
More importantly, a few ones, decided they would work out the small details.
Aw and that's were the tax money's payers goes, say "Hi" to Uncle Sam.

I'm gonna burn a candel for you all buddies, you're in some deep sh** once again.

Here's some external text and a few links for the story:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Syria's ambassador to the United States said Friday that the CIA fabricated pictures allegedly taken inside a secret Syrian nuclear reactor and predicted that in the coming weeks the U.S. story about the site would "implode from within."

"The photos presented to me yesterday were ludicrous, laughable," Ambassador Imad Moustapha told reporters at his Washington residence.

However, he refused to say what the building in the remote eastern desert of Syria was used for before Israeli jets bombed it in September 2007.

Is the Syrian Ambassador a Aerial photograph analysis expert? I've looked at the photos and so you know i've done extensive aerial and satellite photo research and analysis before i've formed the opinion that the photo's are legit, and those pointing out "irregularities" in the shadows are inexperienced and unfamiliar with Syrian/Middle Eastern terrain.

I woulnd't doubt a second that CIA would doctor photos...

But and it's a big but, Syria didn't respond to Israeli attack in any way. They didn't even protest in the media, so they have to have something to hide. And they are refusing to say what the destroyed target was.

Very fishy deal, no matter how you look at it.

Sory if this was posted and I missed it, but...

These are screenshots taken from a slideshow presented to congress. A McClatchy piece explains the issue.

Pictures From the CIA "Syrian Reactor" Show

Almost 3 dozen shots there.

No one else finds it startling that the U.S Gov is quite willing to authorise it's military to launch a strike against a foreign power without alerting it's people to it's actions?

Actually, scrap that - it's not startling, it's bloody insane.

So very sorry, bigprobe.

I'll try to be less ignorant, next time I post a new thread!

Does this mean it will be closed? Or is it ok sometimes to let two run
concurrently, in different spots?

No worries, they'll probably just move it to General News and keep it open. Or it can stay where it is, I don't mind.

And you weren't being 'ignorant', even a super moderator couldn't find the earlier thread.

Thanks very much, I appreciate that.

Been holding back lately, with new threads, because it seems like a fine line between Alternative; and just Breaking news... But letting 'em fly now!
