Well using that logic. I am probably their cousin as well. But Johnny Appleseed??? I thought that it was just a myth. So where is Babe the blue ox?

wow... just wow... i'm sure if you go back far enough, and through enough loops and hoops i'm their 16th cousin too. does it matter? not at all...

Everyone is related pretty much. The trick is to be famous enough so that someone give's a damn.

Genealogy is only as good as the records, and people went out of their way to NOT write down certain elements in Family Bibles etc.

So yes, this is no big deal in some respects.

But the connections do keep piling up.

im related to william bradford, grover cleveland, and winston churchill. so, um, i shud be prime minister of england and president, right? relations dont mean # once theyre beyond grandfather.

Isn't there some mathematical rule that says all people are linked by seven others between them? Think, if you know 50 people, and each one of those people know 50 others, and those 50 know another 50 and on, and on...

Crazy stuff. RANT is on the ball with the "Genealogy is only as good as the records." That was one of John Lockes primary arguments against the divine right of kings.
