We know that when a man becomes president, his wife is called: First Lady.

If a man becomes King, he can choose to name his wife Princess or Queen.

Bill Clinton would come full circle, in a way.

This would be a first in American history.

What Title would Mr. Clinton be?

thats interesting I had brought this up to a few people at work.

all I could come up with is First Man, First Gentleman, or maybe go buy his old title President

He would be...

Hilary's Bee-och!

That's what he'd be.

I think he'll still be called former president Bill Clinton
But if he weren't a former president or senator or the like, I think they would call him the first husband.

I thought it would be First Gentleman as well.

Being that this would be a first for the Northern Hemisphere et al.

Britain has Ladies/Lords, Dukes/Duchess's, but that's part of the British Monarchy.

Something tells me, I've read somewhere that George W. was 'Knighted' by Queen Elizabeth. Dunno

lololol Good morning....lolol...good one AD!

I got a kick out of the post or two above us. First Husband

My first thoughts were: "Hilary's running a harem."

2nd hubby, 3rd hubby...dang...she's got the pick of the crop.

His "Bubbaness"? The First-Bubba? The man who "can" because he could? "Stick Willy"? Handlebar ears? Tongue-wagger? Belinda's Man-bot?

I say we stick with tradition and call him the First Lady.
Hillary always was the one that wore the pants in that relationship.

Has anyone ever seen her in a dress

i also think First Gentleman would be appropriate. although, the President title sticks for life...but that would get confusing.

All I came up with is: Presenting Mrs. President and Her Man, Bill.

It's similar to Mister Peabody and his boy, Sherman from The Bullwinkle Show. But for the politically correct, First Man is shorter than First Gentleman. That word 'gentle' just sounds funny.

I asked an etiquette and elocution consultant... my cat Jax says, "The First President." It may even be correct use of diplomatic protos. LOL.

Is this even a likely scenario now? Sorta looks like her Rodham-ness is augering in... I like McCain and Obama more than she's "getting bigger than a village-ness". She's the Bush in this run...

She wore a dress at an inauguration...

Hmmm---what a conundrum.
"The president and first gentleman, former president William"?
"The president and first man Bill"?
I vote for the politically correct:
"The president and former president".

If they're both called 'President', that would make for some pretty interesting White House phone calls.

***Telephone Rings***

Hilary and Bill answer at the same time

H & B: "Hello?"

Caller: "May I speak with the President?"

H & B: "Speaking!"

Caller: "Ummm..."

Hilary: It's for me Bill, get OFF the phone!"

Bill: Uh Snookums, they asked for the President...that would be ME!

******
15 mins. of bantering ensues. The 'Caller' quietly hangs up. Couldn't get a word in edge-wise.

Hilary eight straight since Super-Toosday.

"Mr. President" sounds about right for the sax player in the Wayfarers from here on out... Arsenio Hall! Yeah, him the one with the unusual definition of "sex with that woman".

Too bad about Obama's folks reusing 2 year old gubernatorial speeches from his buddy. Clinton's got the winks to tiddle. Ever play caps? Last one alive wins.

In a debate she'd slaughter him... and then he'd win really big. She must have TX and PA or she's done; put a fork in her. A cold or throat trouble by either Dem could spell disaster. Rodham-Clinton looks tired... Obama? Somewhat fresher.
