All you have to do is look at ebay...it is indeed a problem.

I once read a price about von Daniken and his books that spoke of looking at everything with 'space eyes'...the point being that if you go looking
to superimpose our modern cultural contexts over ancient glyphs, you are going to see all kids of stuff that wasn't necessarily on the artist's mind
at the time...but resonates with us...hence helicopters in ancient Egypt, and Incan jet fighters, etc...
And while that's all fine and dandy, I hate coincidence, and what really bothers me are some of the oddities...little spaceships and the like...that
sometimes materialise in medieval artwork.
So, like they say "Give me ambiguity, or give me...something else!"

I've worked on 3 field schools and several more digs. One was partnered by the local municipality as part of it's bicentennial, some were rescue
operations pushed by housing development...and paid for by the developer. The field schools are paid for by UIniversities (tax money), out of tuition
and extra fees associated with the course. One friend of mine annually pays to go to Egypt to work on a pharonic site. The days of colonial
archaeology ...paying for a dig so the goodies go back to the Smithsonian for display...are long over. That's why Leakey had his research facilities
in Africa.
You're forgetting about archaeological projects that work in places in south america not too far from certain cannabis farms most likely.
some of those things do have hired escorts after all, and often they themselves are acting on the interests of local concerns.
Another friend of mine has spent his career working Neanderthal sites in the Bekkah Valley and Syria, and the toughest part was getting the local
militias to leave him alone as he studiously ignored the pot plants (for hash). Baksheesh took care of the locals.
If you would like to go and visit a place with real appeal, like a Necropolis - you'll have to go find one.
Go on, get!

Looting is illegal in pretty well all jurisdicions. Even if you own the property, found cultural heritage objects here belong to Her Majesty Queen
Elizabeth II in the right of the province of Ontario. Nobody is going to break down the door to get them...but don't be turning it into a business.
Further...don't mess with the native stuff without their say-so.
Bottom line, there is a proper protocol, and real archaeologists follow it.

The statues may come alive? I have never heard of this happening! What statues, and where? I would love to see some of these living statues!
Another question I have, you said that some sites are built by ETs, I am wondering what sites these are? Not including the maybe site on Mars.
Please include some links/"proof" that the sites you list are indeed alien in origin.
Lastly, my grandmother was an archaeologist before she retired. And I would have to say she is the least "creepy" person I have met. Unless making
sure I have a full stomach is creepy.

Where is the documentation on this? Seems to me that statues which gain life would have been all over the news. Or if it was pre-television perhaps
in the papers? Or books? Anything?

How exactly are they "et"? Where is the documentation for this "fact"? You have said at least twice now that extraterrestrials were involved
with their construction. However, I have yet to see one link, or one iota of documentation to back this statement. Have you just read some postings
on this, or another, site made by average Joes (like myself) and took it to be the truth?

Isnt it obvious?
Every one of SnowWhites posts is filled with incoherent nonsense. I really wish for better explanations, but I doubt we'll get any.

adigregorio,
I feel you, man. But take a minute to think what you're asking for - "documentation" of statues coming to life and, what, walking away?
You are waaay to deep into this if you think you're gonna get any of that!
Better to leave this sort of post alone. It collapses on it's own (lack of) merit!

You cant just quote that as though it's fact without some sources at the least.
Where did you hear about it or read about it?

In all kindness, Snow White, there are a lot of people selling a lot of books by putting together stories that are just this side of make believe.
They generally sound a lot more exciting than what we find in our history books. Further, this is the kind of forum that attracts people that think
outside of the box, as they say, and are willing to look critically at such claims. But you need to ask for some standard of proof from those with the
stories, and when you bring them here, you need to be able to say where you found them.
Good luck in your adventures, but like they say, when you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras.
