Post your story in this section
www.abovetopsecret.com...

When you type in your stories (thread) title, add this (AIASP) after the title so that we can clearly see it is an entry for the competition.

I just realized that by awarding you stars and praising your story to the top of the list, I am supporting a direct competitor. No offense, but that will stop now

See you around.

We will make your story matter by reading it and replying to it.

I've just gone over Intrepids rules again, Sky and he does state that the stories will be judged by others

It's just that judges will have PLENTY to read.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

And putting a star in will only affect the voting for the 5000 point prize and wont(shouldn't) affect the judges overall placing of the winning stories.

So flags and stars have no influence over who wins.
Stars are only votes for the stories most liked by readers which may give an author 5,000 extra point-a-roonies.

Based on the title of this competition, I'm thinking about being extremely brave and going full on stream of consciousness on this one...

Someone talk me into it as most people here tend to write - shall we say - traditionally.

Poke me into being brave or I might bottle it.

I have just made a start.

I honestly think it's going to be a case of 'nothing ventured, no-one confused' though.

Should be a laugh at the very least.

Yup, it is a bit of a buzz John.

I got a couple of ideas for more that I'm toying with at the moment.. might wait a while until i start anything to help in the comp.

I'm actually quite enjoying the apprehension too.

And the wait for anyone to come by, make a comment flag or star is horrendous.

It's like this is the only forum in all of ATS that nobody comes to. It's been really quiet on site for a few hours now, so it's good to see you and MSP here.

now get back to your writing you sloths....

I am so excited about this contest. As soon as I saw it today, I got straight to work exercising my brain...

I'm very happy with the way it turned out, I did alot of re-writing (lots of waste paper in the bin) however, I'm finally finished..

Good luck to everyone else that has entered and also for those who are going to enter... I have read everyone else's work and the standard is "quite" high... But its all good fun, I had a blast...

This forum can be quiet now, and busy later. I'm hoping to put in an appearance, my own self.

Alright, Justin.

Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but do you not find being a hard core political conspiracy theorist somewhat akin to being 'Alone in a Strange Place' sometimes?

Just wondering if you're gonna be entering an excerpt from an autobiography...

Only messin'

Sorry to disappoint, but parts of MY bio are still classified. The good news is that I do other things when I am not riding with the tin foil hat brigade. Those who dare to learn the truth are often quite surprised to find out that I am known for writing...other things.

You are what I deem a quiet one.

Enjoies? I definately want to see your writing skills abound!

Beware the quiet ones, for knowledge holds deep

Hi Intrepid,

Is there a limit on the size of the story?
Number of words allowed etc or what would be an average story length?

I am considering entering the contest, but I haven't written anything in some time so just hoping to gauge how to structure it.

Cheers,

pm.
