This is a scathing review of the modern main stream media with a particular emphasis on the News Corporation empire of Rupert Murdoch.
By using dumbed-down "news" and propagating a hard-right editorial stance, Fox "News" furthers the NWO agenda to enslave us all.
Murdoch, for instance, "exposes numberless sexual peccadilloes, and much lesser crime - but not dud military campaigns or Enronesque frauds."
He specializes in sensationalist pseudo-journalism that distorts the truth on the news and loads it with juiced-up reports on murder, mayhem, mishaps,
celebrity gossip and soft porn.
Turn off your tv and become informed, the MSM is lying to you and the more you watch, the stupider and more malleable you become.

I think this is pretty much the right idea, although be it I would not have used words quite as strong as what you did. I rarely watch broadcast news
any more. Usually just have it on for a weather report, or for a distraction.
An on line video titled Peace, Propaganda, and the Promised Land, explained how the main stream media manipulates what show the masses. I looked for
it but was no longer available on Google. If any one knows of another link please post it.

Sounds to me like someone took a cue from The Outer Limits Control Voice:
There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. If we wish to make it
louder, we will bring up the volume. If we wish to make it softer, we will tune it to a whisper. We will control the horizontal. We will control the
vertical. We can roll the image, make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur or sharpen it to crystal clarity. For the next hour, sit
quietly and we will control all that you see and hear. We repeat, there is nothing wrong with your television set. You are about to participate in a
great adventure. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to... The Outer Limits. — Opening narration –

i'm not sure i agree with the idea that the entire mainstream media is trying to delibratly dumb down the population, i feel it's a bit of a
stretch. ''why blame a conspiracy when simple incompitance will suffice''.
the MSM has one goal, which is not telling the truth or being honourable, it wants to make money. to make money they need to sell advertising
space. the more people watch the channel or read the news paper, the more money the channel or paper or whatever can demand for their slots. the best
way to draw in the largest crowd is to appeal to the lowest common denominator, so you have tabloid journalism and right wing shouting as a staple
diet in the MSM.
the truth is, at this point, all us ats internet junkie types won't watch TV for more than an hour a day anyway, so we're no-ones target audience.
we don't bring much advertising revenue to tv. the news media is aimed at people who watch eight hours a day, believe it all and shout at the TV.
those people don't particularly want the truth from their news, they want car chases and shoot-outs, they want to believe they're the good guy in a
fight against evil, they want to hear about big dramatic storylines with an exhilerating conclusion, and they want to believe they might be part of
it.
all the MSM is doing is giving the people what they want, which may be a pain, it may be disturbing and it may be immoral, but it is unlikly to be, in
my opinion, a majour conspiracy.
on the other hand........

CNN, BBC and co are far more insidious due to their subtlety and deft hand in whitewashing world events. At least with Murdoch there's no pretending
about his Orwellian agenda. Fox news is my fave news channel, purely cos it constantly raises the bar in how flamboyantly detached from reality it is
prepared to go.

Ok, I think we can all agree that the mainstream media misinforms, spins and outright lies in order to keep fannies in the seats, buying
whatever their advertisers are pushing.
(Why are there so many drug ads on the corporate news?)
But here's the deal; did you know it's perfectly legal to lie and distort the facts and present this offal as "news?"

Subject: FLORIDA COURT RULING SAYS MEDIA CAN LEGALLY LIE
On February 14, a Florida Appeals Court ruled that there is absolutely nothing illegal in a major media organisation lying, concealing or distorting
information. The court reversed the US$425,000 jury verdict of 2000 that was in favour of journalist Jane Akre, who charged she was pressured by Fox
Television management and lawyers to air what she knew and documented to be false
information. Source | netfeed.com | TV network LIES to public FOX news's Rupert

As soon as one ties together which corporations own each major news organization, it becomes very apparent why the news is such a joke. The MSM
nothing more than a propeganda spewing puppet for corporate / gov interests. "Free" press is a total illusion.

There is so called "free press," it's just not a part of the MSM.
For instance, here's an excellent site for news outside the festering sludge-pit of the MSM:
Unknown News | "News that's not known, or not known enough." | Helen & Harry Highwater's cranky weblog of news
and opinion.
I just counted, currently I have twenty-five different bookmarks to different news and opinions sites, and I'm adding more all the time.
Admittedly, many are of a progressive stance, but I feel gathering information on current events should be a banquet of choices and views, a veritable
smorgasbord of sources, the goal being to achieve a well-rounded view of what's really taking place in our world.
As Auntie Mame said "Life is a banquet and most poor SOBs are starving to death."
Getting all your news from only one or two sources, especially MSM sources, is like eating nothing but fast food.
