If we're assuming they can predict the future, then they would clearly have taken that into account. Knowing that their calender system would be out
of use in the various time periods they were casting their predictions for they would calculate and adjust for this using complex mathematical
probabilities to predict how the calender itself would have changed. We all know the ancients were mathematical super-geniuses after all.
