Old lurker, new member...

I wouldn't say I'm new here, per se, as I've been reading posts and articles here for awhile. I've just never bothered to obtain member status until now. The past two years I was going through I guess what you could call a sort of hermit phase... I was more content to observe than to interact, just didn't feel the desire to make myself known or have my input heard. For a long time I felt as though I didn't belong in this world, I didn't feel like a part of it, I felt disconnected and lost and couldn't relate to others at all. I still feel disconnected and apathetic most of the time now, but for the most part I think I've outgrown that phase though, at least now I feel like integrating myself into the world instead of just sitting back observing. Hopefully I'll meet some interesting new people here.
