PRAISE TO WILLIAM, AND ALL THE MODERATORS

There is a lot of back story I can not even begin to tell, but I've been Banned from @forumz! LoL, I actually care too...because of one reason. They tossed me out unfairly.

Their moderators suck, I repeatedly asked for them to help end the stupid insulting. Finally I decide to stop being agrevated all together, and then "ThisGayBoy" that's literally his name...among a few others find a way to make me say one thing, which wasn't an insult or anything, just a damn opinion.

And the moderators decide to ban me instead.

Damn them...this is why we must all bow and scrape to our moderators.

For they have maintained a forum here, that is unsullied by hate, by bias, by unfair #!

The moderators on the other forum did nothing to stop the others from taunting me, but demanded that I should not be provoked, as I said, One can not be splattered with poo and not be expected to whipe off the s.h.i.t.

So next time anyone of you thinks William or any other mod. is unfair. Just realize, that it can be a lot worse.

Go to @ if you don't believe me...that hell hole is exactly like Communist Russia. Everyone is so damn liberal...and their Moderators don't do anything, until finally they deicde "Oh we'll just ban the minority".

Damn them, If I actually deserved to be banned, I'd not be so angry, I don't view this as a fault of the posters there, even though they might, I view this as a fault directly of their Moderators!

They could not do so much as to say to both sides what is bothering them so much, and intermediate.

Damn them and damn their forum. Their ideals are destructive, thank god for people like us, and Moderators like ours.

Also to all mods, since hopefully you will look at this, ban everyone from @, last thing we need is them to carry their damned hate over here, and I can only imagine this thread will REALLY piss them off.

Show them what real moderators are like!

Priviledge to be here, not right as William said. And as he has shown as has all mods, I'd trust william to respond to any complaint one here has against another. UNLIKE AT @FORUMZ!

Go there yourself, and smell the #. Seriously, this place is an excellently moded forum, the reason I post this, is so many can view it, realize that, and understand the need to keep it that way.

Since I first got here, a lot has changed, I remember when there was no spamish-like posts, which now there kinda are. And this is saying a lot because I arrived only in October.

The last thing I wish to see, is this forum turn into that forum because the members here do not appreciate how well this forum is maintained.

I actually don't think you should have been banned. Yes, you're ignorant, judgmental and insulting. But we allow a lot of ignorant, judgmental and insulting people on the forumz, so I don't know why they made an exception in your case, except that they found you extremely annoying.

When it comes right down to it, however, message forums are privately owned and administrated and they're not democracies.

For the record, I love the forumz. I don't like all the topics or all the opinions. There are many subjects from which I'll steer clear. But with over two million posts there, I can easily pick and choose.

I guess I'll have to go see what it was that made them ban you, Freemason. Generally it's reserved for people who go over the top with trolling and insulting. We also have a rule against encouraging people to commit suicide. I'm not sure which of the "rules" you broke, but inquiring minds wanna know!

Ok, well I guess what irked them was your notion that native Americans had no real right to their land, and since we took it over by force, and they didn't fight back hard enough, they should shut up.

While I agree that it's a very Archie Bunker thing to say, I don't consider it ban-worthy. Actually, I find the free expression of bigotry to be very educational to me. It makes me realize the importance of teaching truth and tolerance to my children.

I'm even going to post in your defense. I'm not going to defend your opinions, of course, but your right to express them within limits we normally deem acceptable should be upheld.

I looked at that site also. No real content from what i saw yea a ton of post never thought i could see soo many but the ones i saw that were really big had no content what so ever THIS SITE IS FAR SUPERIOR long live ATS. and yes we think our mods and admins are oppresive but we still love them

That's what I appreciate, about the ATS is their moderators! I'm from another well known site which had none. Just by expressing my opinion on the Death Penalty, concerning a child killer. I was insulted, ridiculed, and flamed. The case was concerning a man who raped and murdered a five year old child. All evidence pointed toward him lacking a confession! I voted for the Death Penalty and was treated, like I was a piece of excrement.
I expressed my opinion, concerning Iraq and was told that I'm a War Monger. My opinion was, if Iraq decides to use WMD's on us causing thousands of deaths. Than we should retaliate. If that means the use of selective nukes than so be it. After that statement there was no where I could go, within that site where I was not harassed.

No real content? LOL! You can't look at a handful of threads out of thousands and make that determination.

Also, because there might be a thread on butt plugs, is not indicative that every member considers that an interesting topic. I certainly don't, and I can be considered a senior member there.

That forum is quite diverse. And even though most of us are "liberal," there's enormous disagreement (often heated) about a variety of subjects.

I posted my opposition to your banning, Freemason. It's sorta like a pre-emptive strike against Iraq. You shouldn't be banned just because you may have the potential to cross a line of decency.

In any event, I'm glad for the forumz. What started out as a place to read about my favorite musician, became a place to discuss almost any subject imaginable and to soak up different viewpoints. It's often enlightening...as often as it can be frustrating and angering. But I met a wonderful person there who has really begun to change my life. I'll also never forget 9/11, when we all dealt with the horror and shock together, as a community.

You don't have to like the people there, Freemason. I just think they're annoyed because you came there to judge them (us) and tried to invalidate and ridicule some very intelligent and good people.

I don't see why there should be a war if people are going to discuss things intelligently. You don't see me making sweeping generalizations about the members or admin of THIS forum. I just wanted to point out that there is intelligent life on MY planet and that we're not homogenous.

I came here to see what Freemason might have had to say about his banning (which is being discussed at @forumz as we speak.) I also wanted to let him know that I didn't find his banning appropriate, although I still think he's judgmental and bigoted. I have said so, too.

As far as I'm concerned, is was not done in the spirit of tolerance, of which I've become quite fond.

The OIT board is full of crap about buttplugs, yes. That's because it's, well, random. Serious topics are discussed fairly often, but a lot of the posters just go there to have a laugh. This is clearly a different kind of board, and I reckon that's where the misunderstanding hs come up.
FreeMason, I'm not going to cry for you, but I'm not keen on having you banned either. You were very abusive, but others were abusive back.
I'm not keen on censorship. However, you may want to remember that your very own admin nearly banned me because he couldn't see my IP. Hello, William. Nice day for it... seriously. I don't like the decision, but I think that if you'd calmed down a bit more it might not have happened. I'm sure we can all learn something.

I just had to complain somewhere witchfinder, about how the moderators handled the situation, yes I am overly judgemental of much of your people's life styles, but good moderators would have seen that that just end.

And regaurdless of what Gayboy or any of those other "instigators" may claim, after my public apology, I was no longer judgemental of other's lifestyles, I had dropped that.

You wanna know why they banned me?

Because Diva asked rudely I might add, Why can't Freemason back up his claim that Indians should either fight back or shut up. I responded, "you're right, they can't fight back, so they should shut up." Not even meant seriously, just meant as a point that since the indians are NOT getting their land back, period, they may as well find more productive things to do. You all have said far worse things than for some one to shut up.

Such as the "What's the strangest thing you've stuck in your V.agina" thread, and the Anal Sex thread, and the abusive threads towards some members, not just me, but others as well. A mess, a horrible, unmoderated mess.

I came to find that indeed, beyond ideas, you were all decent people, except for those instigators, but the rest were fine...the problem is the dumb moderators.

You can express my disdane for Rath_Dawg too, I understand it was not his decision, but he showed poor judgement at seeing WHO was really at fault.

St. Theresa, I'm just really fumed about the amount of hypocrisy that is at @. I've said plenty of times, in regaurds to dozens of insulting posts, to just stop insulting and start being intelligent, surely you can point out a few.

The response I'd get is MORE insults.

I only blame though, the ones in the last days, who showed their true colors. ThisGayBoy, pagefire among any others.

They displayed the hate while others were willing to forgive.

Oh and St. I wouldn't have grown so judgemental of your place, if when I expressed my disdane for your liberality of drugs, I did not receive the oh so unintelligent banter of BratBoy420. That man/boy is the most unintelligent individual I know when it comes to drugs. His solution to the inability of the "drug war" to solve the problem of drugs, is smoke more marijuana. Plus, he partook in insulting as WELL!

Had he been able to intelligently back up his claim, I'd have appreciated it a bit more, and not grown so hostile. (your comment about letting your kids understand drugs wasn't much help, but I know just didn't want to admitt that I had taken that a bit TOO far...) But as for Bratboy, he is living in a dream world. One of those fantasies of utopia, that are so destructive to our society...his actions really steamed my emotions.

Now in defense of @...QuickSilver, I felt that way too first going there...for everything that would interest ones such as us, there is probably about 50-100 threads that are totally just every day banter. But after about 2 weeks I was able to sift and find the stuff that was more controversial and what not.

There is stuff there, but it's not always readily available. They like us debate back and forth (well you can't call it a debate, I was the only one debating since they all agree )
but about Bush and his policies and such.

That is probably another thing that set me off, for instance, a lot of the bush threads.

There was NO discussion, it was just bashing bush, none of you disagreed with it, so I'd find myself being the ONLY one to truly disagree entirely with your feelings of Bush, that made it hard to relate with you all a bit

I notice here, even though people also disagree with bush, there is a considerable more back and forth on it, not so one sided.

St. Theresa, I suppose there are things that you guys disagree about. The "what does americans need a gun for" thread was one, but I was a bit biased in my viewing, and tended to only think of the insesant bush pounding, and drug smoking.

Referring to the "Marijuana freakout" where I so badly soiled my name, I was the only one to speak up and say that that girl should stop doing drugs. Everyone else was cool about it, and yes they were trying to be helpful, but I don't see that. I see, any condonance of drugs is harming the person, regaurdless of how much you are trying to make them responsible drug users.

Stop, see I don't mind being called opinionated, or an ass. Because those things I CAN be, but ignorant I am not. I can back up much of what I say with sources, I know I'm not a filing cabinet, so it usually takes me a while to find them, but my opinions are not unfounded.

I wouldn't mind if you found a peice of info that contradicted what I had to say, after looking at it my opinions would begin to change, I'm not as much a wall as you all think, but most of you decided to just insult rather than say, "look, fine you don't like drugs, well here are some science journals that say the government propoganda is crap".

What urked me there, is it is my opinion they don't, because I believe land goes to those who fight for it and win. Everyone knew that. But I received about 5 or 6 insultive posts, that were HORRIBLY insulting, before I ever was informed I even offended anyone, by saying that they should either "Fight back or shut up".

That is the same mistake as with a dog, you don't punish a dog for crapping on your carpet, 4 WEEKS LATER! Someone needs to be informed when they offend someone, not just be insulted. I thought those insults were just another volley of random insults.

Because it is my express and profound belief, that I am insulted after what I post, just because I posted, not because I've offended anyone, or because I said something stupid, but it got to the point, where I would say, "Yeah that makes since, great job!" and I'd get some damn mispelling insult or such, which most are just typos because I type damn fast and hate nothing more than proof reading.

This board is actually moderated in a liberal fasion. What you're complaining about is actually anarchy (i.e., "the rule of the bully.")

There's a maturity difference, too. They know that not every visitor on this very popular board is White, male, and under the age of 20, and they try to make this place as comfortable for as broad a specturm as possible.
