Man-made Global Warming is a lie.
But Climate change is a reality, as it had been since the dawn of civilisation.
The Norwegian studies are indeed useful and should not be ignored.
The sea level will not rise, as displacement mass of floating ice is the same. What will happen is that countries near the poles will start getting
warm and the ones further away can kiss snow goodbye.
While mortal man cannot change the weather, we can still adapt to it, just as our ancestors had done for thousands of years with weather cycles and
our galaxy's movement into different parts of the unknown Universe.
We today have science and technology deployed, and with the best minds in this current age to tackle climate change. For once, drop the greed with
looking for more taxes and exploiting melting resources. Rather, we should be researching on how we can tackle urbanisation and agriculture to ensure
the continuaity of mankind and our next generations in a climate changed world.
Some of the stuff we mankind can do:-
1. Studies on the root causes of ice melts - is it due to underwater thermal activity such as undersea volcanoes, or our weakening magnetosphere that
had allowed solar particles to hit the ice, or our sun growing extreme.
If it is undersea thermal activity, we would only need short term planning for urbanisation and agriculture, as it will cool down. But if it is due to
solar activity, we would have to plan longer terms.
2. Studies on better weather resistant higher yielding crops and means to tap our oceans as a water source.
3. Monitoring stations on land, sea and space to give mankind earlier advance warnings of the minutae changes in climate, so as to plant or harvest
crops effectively or for evacuations safety.
4. As the weather will get into extremes, so too must there be technological advancement for human adaptation to such changes - clothes we wear to
ensure we can safely work and live at optimum, or biological advances to ensure our body temperatures can be kept constant or adapt to the changes
safely.
These are but a few from the insignificant nobody me. There are far more intelligent folks out there who can think of better solutions. And Solutions
are what we mankind need, not play insane blame games. Precautions are always better than cures, more so if we have warnings sounded already.
It may be costly for such projects, but then...doing nothing is FAR more costly, as it will mean extinction over time.
