*game* how well do you know the world?

I stumbled upon this game, and its great. Its a flash game where you get a map of the world, the comp asks you to find a location, and you get points for how close you get to the location they named. I played it a few times and can't get passed level 5.

I ended up 400 points shy of level 7 my first try.

I'll probably be playing this most of the day tomorrow at work now!

I was about a thousand shy of level 11 my first try.

wow, i cant even get close to beating level 6. I get some country i have no idea where it is and im like 13000 miles away from it.

I used to play a role playing strategy game that involved playing as a country of the world, so I got to know the world map pretty well.

There's a few countries on there though that I just completely froze on towards the end. Laos comes to mind. I know where it is, but I just completely drew a blank and just picked the middle of Africa. That killed my score.

I got burned in Africa as well.

Used to play Civilization with the world map, and named every city I built (or renamed those I conquered) with the nearest equivalent in the real world.

I can't get past the 10th level. I keep coming just short, mainly because it's asking for some countries I've never even heard of in Africa.

Got up to level 10 this morning as well. Sure does get challenging up there.

Honestly I do better in places like Africa and South America than I do some of the smaller countries in Europe.

Not sure why...

So? I'm American dammit.

Level 10, 16,000 points below qualifying for the next level.

Europe, some of Asia and Americas were easy, pity about all those tiny ones in Africa and pacific rim that I don't know of.
