Weird anomaly on MOC image? Some huge "station" on Mars? Or what is it?

I found this anomaly on MOC image R2000029

Tell me what it is. There are a lot of straight lines in it.

i see nothing abnormal. i can see a bunch of boulders with streaks of blown dust trailing away...
[edit]

ah i see what you were doing with that animated gif. i still dont' see the "structure" you outlined. still looks like normal geological formations.

Straight lines compared to what? A planet is round, its hard to say from which point a line is straight.

I do not see anything there. Its geological features. Ask yourself:
- Why do all the hills have the same semi-circle "in front" (from the topright) of them? (*GASP*)
- Why is there not one but TWO clear V shapes on the left part of the screen (*SHOCKED*)
- Why is the center much darker than the rest of the image (*PASSED OUT*)

Thank you for your answer

I like to hear such opinions about this.

When I saw this I couldn't help to see something with great symmetry in it. I still see it
I ussualy dont see such on MOC images. It looks like some sort of "station".

Of course it could be anything.

Looks to me like you are seeing the long term effects of erosion brought about by wind blowing constantly in the same direction. The lines you point out look very much like lines in the sand at the beach caused by wave action. You can see that effect in sand dunes as well, this time brought about by wind--more or less the same effect in either case, no matter what caused it. The semi-circles show where a rock has blocked the action of the wind, of course. Nice pics. Thanks for bringing them to our attention.

Thank you for sharing the pic

IMHO, Schuyler talked about the real question of this pic: whatever is there in the pic, has changed its original shape: it could have been created by the wind, as well it could have partially been erased by the effect of the erosion. There are even two geometrical shaped object: a triangle and a sphere.

Definitely, i have no idea of what it is.
Anyway, nice find

In the same strip, i noticed at least two other oddities:

LOL

Good humor I always apreciate!

My conclusion:
1. You dont think my post had anything to do with something relevant.

2. You like to ridicul the people who think otherwise.

I think your finds are signficant btw. I have added them to my database!

Nice find Lunica, it could be a giant skeleton partially covered by sand.

I like, also, the anomalies find by Internos, the second seem a WindTrap from the wonderful retro-game Dune II!!
