Postcards Used In School Bomb Threats Warn Of 10-10 Terror Attacks.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office today released several postcards that had been mailed to schools last Monday and appeared to threaten a terrorist attack on Oct. 10.

The Sheriff's Office also announced a $10,000 reward being offered by the U.S. Postal Service.

Seven of nine postcards were released.

These horrifying post cards all read "Jihad - BOOM", show a building with human stick figures falling out of it, and also "9-11 10-10".

It seems like the postcards themselves are acts of terror. They force police to spend resources and time on this. Also frightening parents and children from going to school.

10-10 most likely will not be the day of a school attack. It just doesn’t seem like terrorist style to give away the correct date ahead of time.

3 of the 7 postcards have 'jihad' spelled "jiahd - BOOM"
I don't know if that was intentional or not.
All of them have "BOOM" in capitals, as well as the word "SCHOOL"
when used in the addresses, while the rest is written properly.

They're reminiscent of the anthrax letters.

Maybe they're just testing public reaction, or law enforcement.
We'll just have to see how this plays out.

Nothing against you, OP, you bring us very good stories, but i do not beleive these are "real threats"- IMO. I beleive these are more things done to panic and upset the parents, pupils and the general public.

Just like the Anthrax.

It's always one date after another. Does the government even need to spread fear on it's own?

Now only days away from 10-10-2007. I felt it was my duty to give CPR to this thread to remind and show members of the threat.

10-10 has begun. Will these terror attacks come? Or were they simply threats meant to terrorize? In 18 hours, we will know.
