what? are you saying that there were firefighters INSIDE of the collapsing wtc buildings that survived? i've never heard that before and, frankly, find it very hard to believe. no offense

Actually 14 survived in that stairway- 12 FF, Port Authority police officer
David Lim and civilian Josephine Harris being escorted down stairs

Several others Genelle Guzman and Pasquale Buzzelli literally rode the
building down. They were in stairway above the others when collapse
started - were ejected from building and ended up on debris pile.
Buzzelli with a broken foot, Guzman trapped in wreckage and freed
26 hours after collapse.

Reason many believe that they survived was that 7 th floor was a
mechanical floor with heavy machinery which acted as shield diverting
debris around stairwell.

6 months after 9/11 heard Capt Jonas and others involved in rescue speak
did not descibe bombs, thermite, nukes or death rays

I guess being a truther means ignoring everything which fails to feed

I don't know, but I know that a directed nuke blast would have killed the firefighters who survived the collapse of the tower when they were still inside.

I did not ask that question with the preconceived answer of a mininuke behind it. I asked it to point out the importance and bizarreness of this anomaly, and to shake a few of your preconceptions.

Now sit a while and think about it. How did the buildings' concrete turn to dust in mid-air? because that's after all what we see. How does a collapsing building pulverize itself and its contents to 20 micron-sized bits in mid air? Even a really big one?

There's a very revealing, short CNN clip with a reporter and Gov. Pataki of NY touring ground zero about a week after 9/11. The gov. describes the towers' collapse and says that the concrete simply turned to dust. I think the words he uses are "simply incredible" or the like. He pauses a moment, dumbfounded by the impossibility of what he has just said, standing there in that huge field of wreckage.

Google it and watch it, and maybe you too, like the gov. of NY, will find that fact amazing and deeply troubling. And watch it to the end, when he also mentions the deep fires beneath the wreckage in the basements.

I don't know anyone who has satisfactorily explained how these things could have occurred; I doubt mininukes and I don't know what it was, but I doubt a gravity-driven collapse and jet fuel a heck of a lot more.

That smoke is from WTC 6 being blown out from the basement up. It was done to try and hide the fact that 6 was imploded by using the debris from the Tower, which is falling at the same time. That vast plume of smoke and dust is for sure from the Bldg .6; the pics of it after the ' collapses ' shows that it was blown out totally, with no debris piled up, all of it blown to smithereens.

It was a part of the total destruction of the entire WTC complex, the only buildings to be affected. ALL of the WTC buildings had to go and they blew 6 just when the first Tower was starting to go. Take a good look and find the other thread on this that shows the street level shots of that dust cloud. It is more proof of demo, for sure.

maybe if you would read my post, you would see that i acknowledge the point. DEAR GOD FORGIVE ME for not knowing about these firefighters. do you believe that, because they survived, it somehow undermines the 911 truth movement? i don't see the connection.
as my posts show, i'm not adamant about ANYTHING. i doubted what the poster said, they provided links and i admitted that i was wrong. see how that works? like when you look at the governments' official story, you have to be OPEN-MINDED. i started with the assumption that they were telling the truth. looking at the evidence has led me to believe that this is not the case. and, ftr, i'd prefer to keep this argument/debate honorable. if you want to just start insulting each other, pm me. i'll humiliate you privately and save everyone else the aggravation (although from your high-handed posting tone, it might be entertaining to many).

I seem to remember this photo was debunked a while ago. The best evidence of basement bombs is in the 9/11 Eyewitness video. Both towers are clearly visible, with LIGHT smoke rising from below one of the towers. This is pre the collapse.

I was watching. I saw this interview with Clancy. And I never will forget what he said...of course, I have to paraphrase, but it went like this:

Reporter asked: Could you have ever imagined a plot like this for one of your books?

Clancy answered: No, and even if I could have I probably couldn't have gotten it published...it's too unbelievable.

Thats a load of #. he wrote a book back in 96 or 97 i think called executive orders where a terrorist (i think it was a japanese) flew a 747 into the capitol building while it was in session. nearly the entire gov't was decimated...Jack Ryan was pushed into presidency for the first time in that one. i read it when it was newer (i was still in high school) and got chills up and down my spine. It was one of the reasons that I enlisted in the US Marines. lo and behold just a few years later....and to think that noone seems to know that fact and its been more then 5 yrs. don't believe me? go to the library and just read the (if my memory serves correctly) first couple pages. hell, you may be able to find an ebook of it somewhere if u look hard enough.

stephen king's ending for the book that 'the running man' was (very loosely) based on was the hero crashing a passenger jet into the skyscraper headquarters. he winds up basically face-to-face with the antagonist (richard dawson's character in the movie), who's sitting in his office in the skyscraper. great story. i think that he might have written it under his richard bachman nom de plume.
