It's both innate and a product of schooling and experience.

So it is that same great schooling that lets you think your above everyone else? Superior? Now I think I understand the white mask...

As far as the trial and the rest, LET ME SAY AGAIN so you can understand...I am all for it. If he is a crook...punish him. Punish ALL of them.

Just don't call me or others idiots because we don't jump on the witch-burning, ok? What if...just what if, all the speculative "evidence" is wrong or in otherwords he is not guilty? Then who is "blind"? Oh, I know...then the courts are corrupt, the judge was paid...blah, blah.
Sounds like my cousin who blames everyone for his own problems.

So, while some of us remain open to what is real, it seems it is "cool" to climb on the "oh it has to be true" bandwagon and then personally bash anyone who does not blindly agree.

So, while you preach that we blindly follow, you expect us to blindly follow you, and you can't see the problem with that at all. Superior? I say scary....

ZZZ

To try to match wits with billybob through drug taking and incest insults is not good form, really.

Use logic and supporting evidence to back up your claims of why you want this man or that man in a crisis, and you will be back on track.

You just spat the dummy in your defense of the indefensible, the president not taking immediate action as Commander In Chief. That is not good behavior in a crisis now, from the POTUS or you, is it?

BTW, I think this is a good topic on leadership behavior in crisis. In my opinion that's more interesting subject matter than Dean this or Bush that.

So tiring,

here you are a mason attacking a fellow mason MA?

what gives?

is he not doing what he should?

or maybe that is the problem, he is not toeing the line after all?

then you should have respect for the rebel...

but it is scary guessing who has influence when it is lost by those you know.

You guys need to check out the latest polls:

Dean - 22%
Kerry - 21%
Gephardt - 18%
Edwards - 18%

MARGIN OF ERROR: 4%

Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Dean's losing the Mo and Edwards is gaining it. Dean will not win the Iowa Caucus, he's too hot headed and it's heating up the negative rhetoric that pushes voters away.

Anyone remember the kid who would through sand at the beach Until he got what he wanted? Dean is that kid.....
Remember what happened to that kid? He got the sand castle builder, and we he stood it up and took it off, his sand castle crumbled and cried, Just like Dean would. He should stop throwing out stuff about Bush and focus on his own pathetic excuse for a life

Alright...nice game avatar. Your "side" will insult, call people stupid, and claim mental superiority over anyone who does not believe their game to the letter.

Well, I would actually prefer a trial. I would prefer something real. Now, I think the point of a leader showing calm when in a crisis is a postive trait. I stated that. He was still getting reports...stay calm and be ready to act.

From you? Not even a validation of that basic point. Just personally attack and claim of superiority. I say that is poor form.

And once again...for the children....I don't disbelieve your point. I just don't convict people like that. Anyway...continue on. I'm sure not one of you will concede a single point. Do you have any? Sure you do...but I can actually admit that.

Peace

Not really. I don't have a "side" as such, I can only post here based on my assessment of the information that has been available to me. I don't think there is too much wrong with my mental faculties, but I don't rank them against anyone else's - that's your inference.

It does not stack up that George W Bush is in any way, shape or form a suitable leader in crisis. He is just a puppet selected to bring about a highly corrupt agenda.

He is not a suitable Commander In Chief, statesman, or analyst or spokesman on economic or social issues.

And his behavior on the morning of 9/11 has been perceived very differently from my angle than yours.

Count the insults on this thread and see who comes out on top.

Meanwhile, do the research on George W Bush's behavior in crisis during his existence on this mortal coil, and see if you can genuinely come to the same conclusion you seem to have drawn already. I can't see how that would be possible for you, but good luck.

Dean wont win, he doesnt have a pair to do it. He needs a general and two colonels to be Bush now. His wedding tackle almost doesnt exist in terms of national defence. He wants to make our military even weaker from what Clinton left out of it. He said "We got to prepare for the day that America wont have the strongest military"
.

Ok, you win...I evaluate, you evaluate. I say you have some points. You say my points are dumb, you're better than me, and my assessment is wrong. I guess you are Bush and I am Saddam today.

Ok, I say Dean is just a puppet to try and take over. This way the Democrats can get back in the interns I suppose. Yes, humor... I am not saying he is the greatest leader ever, but I would not claim outright incompetence. What about the great Dean? Having his records sealed...what is he hiding?

He is not a suitable Commander In Chief, statesman, or analyst or spokesman on economic or social issues.

Well, knowing a great many people in service...they all respect him, unlike some presidents of the past. Again, your assessment and my assessment.

And his behavior on the morning of 9/11 has been perceived very differently from my angle than yours.

True. The blind and the one with sight...in your eyes.

Meanwhile, do the research on George W Bush's behavior in crisis during his existence on this mortal coil, and see if you can genuinely come to the same conclusion you seem to have drawn already.

Oh I have. Perfect? No, but ask yourself...what would you do? What would Gore have done? It was not an easy day. Heck, I lost my job that day. I knew people that died that day. Unless you were in the inner circle, I don't think you have any idea. The vote was a shambles, but like it or not a winner declared. Half the country hates you, etc, etc...

Then, the attack. I think he handled it with dignity. The crown is a heavy burden so to speak.

Oh well, like I have stated. I see your points and consider some of then valid and well thought out. You see your points as well and concede that you completely right.

I always thought it was honorable and dignified to run all over the country and hide while my people were under attack and a mayor upstaged me as a leader. We all should aspire to this.

LOL! To bad we didn't have you Colonel. I'm sure you would have been standing on Tower One with a flag in on hand and a gun in the other.

Since it seems you are unaware, the Secret Service takes over at times like that and the President does not have much say in those matters. I'm sure it will just become a grand part in the conspiracy though...

I probably would have---don't forget the torn shirt.

Doesn't matter. Why didn't he send off the much vaunted NORAD AIR Defense. Why were they ordered to stand down immediately before this? We HAD contingencies for this. Why weren't they used?

Alright, first I say...huh? No idea what you said, you can't spell, and it seems you can't read either. Hmmm, related to the billybob name? Naw...

Oh and the playing with my name? Yeah, that was cute. Immature...but cute.

See, unlike you I can believe there has been BOTH good descisions and bad ones. You might say he's a crook as you sit there smoking pot or hugging your sister, both of which are illegal by the way. So, I am sorry that "it" is not plain as day. "It" is speculation and sensationalism.

Why not just say you hate the guy? Fine, that I can take that. But to play some BS game where you make things up and then everyone that doesn't believe you is a idiot?

I think you have some growing up to do regarding the real world.

my spelling is usually good. i don't type well, though. i wanted to reply to you, but was too lazy to hit the back button to find the real spelling of your name, so i had fun with it. sorry. i didn't know it was your REAL name. no offense intended.
unlike you, i believe there are both good descisions(oops! did i mispell dat?) and bad ones.(oops! did i presume something?)
i might say he's a crook stone sober while i hug your mother, ...son.
i never called you a(n) idiot. i don't need to.
it is NOT speculation and sensationalism. it is critical observation and analysis.
why don't you defend prescott bush, now. defend all the savings and loans bankruptcies bush was responsible for. defend his coc aine charges and alcohol problems. defend the trail of dead people who were a threat to him. defend his army record. defend his deconstruction of the constitution. defend his relationship with ken lay. defend his idiot remarks(food on the family, past is over, etc....) he's not just a criminal. he's an idiot. i mean, a idiot.

people are stupid. they will believe a thing either because they want it to be true, or because they fear it to be true.

Look, the office of president cannot and must not be held by an emotionally guided person regardless of their intentions and character. If for no other reason than to deal with the rest of the world, all of whom are lined up to take their piece of the US, the person elected to president must be an ice cold S.O.B.

I don't think Bushs reaction to the news was one of someone who had planned the event. For that, his reaction would have been scripted too. I think his reaction was due to the fact that they had a credible threat, made the wrong decision to follow-up on it, and right then, the reality of what a mistake had been made really hit home. I'm convinced they knew of a threat but made the wrong choice and we've all done that just not on such a grand scale. It was an unforgivable mistake and error cause party by the political separations of our law enforcement and intellegence community and as he was commander and cheif at the time, that falls under his ultimate responsibilty.

Somene blew it, might have been him personally , might not have been but it happened under his watch, its his shortcoming. Fair or not, thats the way it is. If you don't want to inherit a country where terror cells have been allowed to plan attacks for a decade, then don't run for office.

Zed, you make much sense with the open-minded way you look at proven facts vs. speculation..which is what we're all really doing. You got my vote this month, man.

"(CBS) For the first time, the chairman of the independent commission investigating the Sept. 11 attacks is saying publicly that 9/11 could have and should have been prevented, reports CBS News Correspondent Randall Pinkston.

"This is a very, very important part of history and we've got to tell it right," said Thomas Kean.

"As you read the report, you're going to have a pretty clear idea what wasn't done and what should have been done," he said. "This was not something that had to happen." "

www.cbsnews.com...

Speculation no more. The whole "Bush let it happen" sentiment is true. Whether he did it out of ignorance or political is speculation, but I rather believe the first. There was plenty of accurate information and a whole lot of ignoring it.

So, to tie this all in with THE TOPIC, I don't feel this is the man I want to have during a crisis.

.....that this whole topic is a NewsMax fecal nugget to begin with, right? It is about as worthy of discussion, merit wise, as arguing Superman's eye color.
Really, we're talking about a man reacting to his mentor's death.

The 9/11 Bush cross country looking for somewhere to hide Secret Service took over bulls**t: While in Eurpoe, Bush gave an interview to a German paper in which he admitted that his first thought on September 11 was "to get out of harm's way" .
- Air Force One is modified with an Anti-AirCraft Arsenal, piloted by the creme de la creme, escorted by fighter jets and, as with all jets, is out of range to any shoulder mounted rockets.
He's an arrogant, ignorant child of priveldge who is also a coward, nothing more, regardless of the history revisonists.
And oh yeah, that fireman hug at ground zero that was made a fuss over because he yelle into the bullhorn " I hear you" - us NYers saw the local news. It wasn't said with compassion, as to a shared pain. It was said in much the same way that an irritate parent says it to a 5 yr old who is asking "Are we there yet" non-stop.
