I could say something veeeery insensitive here... in fact I can think of many insensitive things to say about so called "news" organisations that chase after these kind of stories (pun intended).

Here's a little more...

A KTVK T-V anchor tearfully told viewers that one of the helicopters was theirs, and that the pilot and photographer aboard were killed.

Channel 3 reported that both the pilot and photographer were killed in the crash.

www.foxnews.com...

Maybe this is the beginning of the end of one of our national pastimes.

Thoughts are with them (if anyone survived) and their families of course. I guess it was only a matter of time before something like this happened. I just hope it leads to safer rules being encouraged by everyone.

It's a tragic waste of life and we all must feel for the terrible loss of the families and those near to those killed in this incident.

But it is the inevitable result of a sordid, out-of-control media circus, selling us cheap titillation as infotainment.

I'll say it again. Sordid.

Well actually I feel no remorse.......

But then I am honest and wont patronise pretending to care about something that I don't care about.

They died doing their jobs - thousands (probably more) of people die doing their jobs everyday - what makes these so special?

I thought I would add that I heard the Police are thinking about charging the people who were being chased by the POLICE for this. I thought this was some disturbing news. How can you charge the criminal in a CAR for the crashing of News Helicopters???

Unbelievable.

Pretty bad. Reminds me of the last exchange between Houston and Columbia:

"Columbia this Houston, say again, you're breaking up."
