Dems subpoena Rove

firstread.msnbc.msn.com

Congressional Democrats subpoenaed White House senior adviser Karl Rove, and Judiciary Committee Chairman Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT) charged that “political considerations factored into the unprecedented firing of at least nine United States Attorneys last year," the AP reports.

“E-mails released by the Justice Department show [Attorney General Alberto] Gonzales’ aides conferred with Rove” on the firing of the prosecutors, the AP reports.

Will the Sith Lord comply with the subpoena?

I thought the following was humorous enough to include:
White House counsel Fred Fielding said Rove wouldn’t be showing up because “the subpoena probably got delivered to the wrong address” and that Leahy “couldn’t prove he was a senator” and “the font was kind of weird looking, like something from an IBM Selectric” and “Rove is home sick this year” and “La la la la I can’t hear you.”

In addition to Rove, J. Scott Jennings, the Deputy Director
of Political Affairs, was also ordered to provide testimony
and documents. Leahy has given them till Aug. 2nd.

The subpoena-party continues..

Why are you jacking a thread with stuff from a previous administration instead of discussing a current topic?

Republican politics? Obfuscate and dismiss?

Nice.

People need to know the truth!

Does it not bother you that Clinton fired over 11 times the number of attorneys than Bush?

If U.S. Attorneys serve at the will of the President, and firing them is totally legal. Why is this such an issue?

Senator Diane Fienstein complained about one of the fired attorneys. Why isn't she being called to testify on why she thought one was doing a bad job?

Here is the new Democrat slogan...

Subpoena, Surrender, and Censor!
