Congress Moves to Limit SPP Funding

In a historic, first vote to restrict funding for the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) of North America, the House overwhelmingly approved an amendment "prohibiting the use of funds to participate in a working group pursuant to the Security and Prosperity Partnership."

This is great news!

Although only a first step, Congress is showing it is aware of the ongoings of the SPP, of which many people believe to be leading directly towards the North American Union.

I'm delighted to see Congress putting the quash on the Administration's ability to use our tax money to kill this great Nation.

save this nation or save their jobs... it sounds like they realize theres a possibility they may not have the same "influence" in a 3 nation "nation". it really doesn't matter as long as the right decision gets made in the end, whatever the reason.

This is good to hear with the meetings up coming. Hopefully this is a wake up call to the leaders of the 3 nations that the people aren't interested in this merger of countries and the destruction of our nations.

Great news!! Its good to hear something postive for a change, and that our elected leaders still have some power left. I spoke to my friend about this a few months back. He said, no need to worry about that, they wont be able to go threw with this. To much is at stake, and they are not going to sell us out without a fight

Absolutely not. There's still the Senate that needs to vote the same way.

I sense a bit of sarcasm? Why? What do you think of the SPP/North American Union conspiracies? Would you care to elaborate?

the powers-behind-the-curtain
will have the administration find another way to fund the SPP...

instead of commerce or the other departments mentioned
that were once a source of funding...temporarily blocked
funding could be funneled through the Embassies for instance.

in any event the August 20-21st conference up in Montebello, Quebec
will have the 3 NAU represenatives
Eagle , Beaver & Gila Monster,
all present accounted for

Only limit SPP spending? How about perhaps making the SPP completely transparent for deliberation in the rest of the Government before Congress gives anything at all for the SPP?

After all, if the SPP is actually making National Policy in any way, shape or form, it must be deliberated by all three Branches...This is what the whole "checks & balances" system is about. For far too many years, the Executive Branch has been grabbing every Power it can & degrading/eliminating this system of self-accountability in the Government.

Just to clarify... the actual Amendment states: "None of the funds made
available under this Act may be used to participate in a working group pursuant to the Security and Prosperity Partnership." source

As far as getting the "transparency" of the SPP workings.... it's already began, and it's getting more and more scrutiny... as this article has proven.
