What is your spiritual persuasion, you tell me yours I'll try and tell you mine, but it isn't easy to explain.

I'm a hardcore atheist, believe only in things that have empirical evidence.

I've been told I'm spiritual, but I don't believe in the supernatural, so I don't think I'm spiritual at all.

HI Major, I just read a post of yours under another topic, actually I think you are spiritual, I understand atheism and could head that direction, but I am clinging, because of my experiences I believe in something, not sure what it is, but something is out there.

The spiritual journey you took was not unlike mine, you have a deep desire to know.

Well it depends on what definition you use, by some definitions I'm an Atheist,
that is I don't believe in a deity, the supernatural and I except science as truth.
However by more strict definitions I'm not.

Personally I consider myself Theran-Agnostic.

Iori, I love it,

WE really don't know do we?

I would say i am a religious eclectic, I like to take what is beautiful and sound from many different spiritual views, to love one another, for instance,

People are like prisoners who think shadows are reality

no spiritual persuasion at all
the only thing that could be considered "spiritual" about me is my love for knowledge, understanding, and people.

I think some would call me spiritual. I believe in God and Jesus. I dont think Jesus is God in the flesh. I think Jesus is the son of God. I believe the bible is the word of God.

but as far as believeing in what all the churchs say, I would believe in all the time. You got to be careful about churches for they believe what they where tot. They will believe that over what the bible says and that is wrong.

I believe God is out there. Everything happens for a reason. Us believers need to stay on the right path. There are many things out there and many things people can say to make you think otherwise. But that does not change the truth.

Yes the supernatural, there's a word for ya, what we don't understand we label supernatural, yet is everythig natural? or, is everything supernatural?

Good to love wisdom and knowledge, For wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her.

Every good thing bestowed and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights,

"Father of lights?" " above?" don't you find that intriguing?

Belief in the supernatural wouldn't add to your spirituality. Like you I'm an atheist, and that ain't changin'! However I believe in stuff that makes no sense to anyone else but makes perfect sense to me.

For example, one of my religious friends asked me what I believe happens afer death, seeing as how I don't believe in Heaven. My belief is that our soul, like our body, decomposes and spread into the Earth in the way our bodies are broken down and help enrich the life around it.

I have no spiritual persuasion what so ever plain and simple. I once told my mum not so long ago that my teddy bear is more spiritual then I am. I suppose it is only fair that I introduce members to the most spiritual thing that is around me.

Here is an photo of my teddy bear who sits next to my computer monitor.

As for my beliefs well I'm an Atheist who follows logic , evidence available and science. I don't follow science blindly thou for example I don't think that humans are the cause of climate change but that is another topic.

The test I took says I'm an Apathetic Atheist,
but I think of myself as a Spiritual Agnostic... But of course, I can't really be sure.

I don't believe in God - at least not as something separate from ourselves or as a man in the sky or as anything, really. Yet I do believe there's more to us than the physical. And I think there's a continuation of existence after we die. That's what I believe, but more than anything, I believe we cannot know.

I was fortunate enough to be raised in a household with a prevailing indifference about things religious/spiritual so I got to start out with a clean slate.
I've never subscribed to any religion (and never will).

My spirituality to this point is the sum total of what I have experienced, what makes sense to me, and what my heart and mind tell me is true.

I have no idea if there is a god or creator. If I should ultimately be convinced that there iis one, I don't think that It is benevolent and worthy of being worshipped by me. All of the horrors and tragedies of history are enough to convince me of that.

My most 'spiritual' moments and experiences come when I interact with nature. Happy moments of the materialistic kind are simply not as profound as witnessing the beauty, majesty or miraculousness of nature and natural events.
The birth of my children was also a wondrous thing.

My spiritual goal is to try to expand the abilities of my brain and mind in the event that my life's experiences to date have been limited by not using their full capabilities. I have no specific method in mind for achieving this -- just and extra effort to be more perceptive and perhaps find my own ways to be meditative.

The one thing that I will say about spirituality is that it is a personal thing and should not be forced on others. In particular, I felt it would have been wrong to not allow my children to fill their own empty 'slate' as I have been able to. They are free to do that when, if, and how they please.
