No sorry, it is a true project, in use now, used recently in the Persian Gulf. And in use around the coast of the US, now that should give you a good clue.

I'm impressed, that info is kinda hard to find , you are correct about the dolphins, they actually attach cones to their snouts, the cone has a single bullet in it, when the dolphin bumps the target, (a diver) it discharges the bullet, and boom, no more diver.
Good work.

this reminds me of the cia or whoever it was that released info on the "James Bond" devices, and one of them was a fake catfish(I think) that was used to eavesdrop.

If I'm not wrong, they are up to MK-8.
I have some "trading" cards issued by the Navy of the dolphins they use

I believe that the Navy is at Mk-8 as well. But the history channel talked about Mk-6.

I wonder if they are still using seals also?(no not the human kind)

I never caught the History channel show. Was it recent? They replay a lot of them .

^ The show was on in the last month. It showed videos from the cold war; dolphins and seals searching for mines and such. They also had a present day section. It turns out that in Russia the dolphins from their former program were starving to death; they had to swallow rocks for food, but died out quickly. As of late, they have been taken care of and used for some kind of strange rehab.
