what is the world coming to?

ok get this.

one day kim gos for a little walk. she sees a couple of 16 year olds getting married- these people are only one yearolder then her and theyre throwing their lives away.
"ok" she thinks but walks on. next she sees a 12 year old that has murdered his little brother with his friend, in the newspaper. Another 10 year old girl is painting her face up while on the same street as her best friend, there is a girl that is 8, just 8 and she has been smoking since she was 5. ahem but
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!
people are growing up too quick, next thing you know, there'll be 33 year olds that are saying theyr old! also, kids are growing up a really bad way. theres a hell load more teen pregnancies, drug addicts and drunkards.
it really p***es me off. (takes a breath) wooh rant over.

I'll tell you what is going on, like you all say: "We are the future of this country..."

That's what happen when you promote liberal ideas !

That's what happens when conservatism becomes exclusive and intolerant.

Its because the world is only suited to adult life, so this means that the kids grow up quick. They see adults in the movies, on TV, in magazines, even their pop ideals all having sex, getting married, having children, drinking and getting well drunk, getting out of their heads on drugs, driving cars and so on. Even physically they are maturing a lot earlier then we did. Some of the boys and girls of the ages of 12 to 14 look at least early 20's.

you see cristina aguliera and britney spears
wearing strings that bearly cover their private parts
the children see this and try to immitate this because these people are their role models
they see on music videos guys smoking and talking about drugs and killing and they think this is "cool" to do

another factor is their parents who let them wacth this stuff and let these little girls dress in an unproper manner and do all of this
although there are some exceptions
if you are a parent you should know where your kids are at ALL times
if you don't know where your kid is then you need to have a talk with your child

also older figures have a part in this
like big brothers or aunts or cousins
little children look up to older people and they immitate what ever they see or hear

What's going on is the disjunction between "the way you think the world should be" and "the way it is."

Sad fact: kids murdering kids/siblings has always been with us. It wasn't as trackable earlier, because kids could say "your brother/mother/whomever" ran off and I haven't seen them. Police methods make it easier to find the offenders.

Drugs? Dear heavens, you should have seen the conditions 2 centuries ago. Kids painting themselves up? In England in the 1800s and earlier, parents would sometimes sell children to brothels. People in debt would be put into prison and their children could be sold.

Violent? Read up on some of the kids and street gangs of that era and before.

Read about the Children's Crusade and children being sent to fight in wars and being captured and enslaved along the way.

It's always been with us. We need to change it. You're just more aware of it because our communication systems are so much better.

This isnt some new situation that has crept up on us, it has been around since long ago, and people need to realise that blaming it on Britney Spears is not going to work. (Bluegirl, please save your incoherent ranting for some other site.)

It is obviously wrong, but in a society where people are not considered to be useful memebers of society until 21, youth are always going to act up to the images they see of that age group. Yaddah Yaddah Yaddah...

BYRD, you may say all you want but the fact is the good kids : bad kids proportion has been worsening all the time. Sure we had it all before, yeah but you can't compare today's youth to a centrury before. It got much much worse. The bad partion is constantly increasing while good - decreasing.
