Here is a picture we took with our digital camera on may 7, 2007. I didn't notice until yesterday that there is an object in the picture directly above the house to the right side of the road. It is clear that the object is not a bird, and not an airplane. I embossed the picture in PSP and you can see that it is definitely a solid object. I am attaching the original photo that is about 1.3 meg. I did not want to resize it as someone might think that it was tampered with. On that day, the conditions were clear and not a cloud in the sky. The location is approx. 5 miles east of Union City, Ohio. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could offer any information as to what this object is.

I have added an additional link to the 1.3 meg .jpg

That picture is a 231kb jpeg so I guess thats not the original afterall? Hard to say what it might be from a 6pixels wide mesh, could be a bird or a plane or pretty much anything...

In my opinion, it's a bird.

If I had to guess I'd say it was a bird as well, if you take a closer look...

You can clearly see the object is darker in the middle, which would appear to be the body of the bird.

It's nothing more I'm affraid.

How can it be clear that its not a bird?

I'd say bird or an insect.

Now I'm not arguing for or against anything here. I want to learn, so I ask questions.

Why does the center mass of the object being darker, make it a bird? Would not anything of that general shape and color be darker towards the center? Is there some other factor besides coloration that is in play on this decision? Wouldn't a head on view of an airplane, with wings on either side result in the same outline and mass characteristics?

Id lay money on it that it is a bird. Nothing unusual at all imo

Im going out on a limb and say that NONE of us are imagry interprtation experts. More to the point he simply posted this because he is unsure.

It might be a bird, but it also could be a smaller comercial aircraft.

Any airports in you vicinity?

Is it a dragon?... (must stay on topic) or a goat.

I've looked closely in Photoshop and with a little
assistance, it appears that it's 3 kids and 2 bikes.

Using the zoom tool, there may be a farm in the
background.
Phew! it's heavy being an analyser for NORAD.
