This could be real. It's rather spooky looking with it's red lights. It does not look remotely like CGI. But unfortunately it's very short and because it's at night and most camcorders don't take too well to low light conditions, it's low quality. Anybody have any more info on this one?

That looks like the Millenium Falcon, I knew Lucas must have stole that design from somewhere!

Looks like a wildfire on a hill to me.

Also sounds like it's very windy too.

Exactly my first though. A moorland fire on a distant hill.

Again, a daylight shot from the same location is required so we can see if we are looking at a hillside or the sky.

It remains a moorland fire for me unless shown otherwise...

Video taken by Rob Kritkausky on August 19, 2004 in North Phoenix.

This case was discussed here in 2005.

Is that really the way you see this? Not me. Maybe it might be a forest fire but the way the area above the red lights is lit up tells me it's not.

You put forward such an astute argument for the case there, Bocephus, that I'm sure everyone will trust your every word in every post you make! Keep it up.

Exactly the first thing that came to my mind. The Falcon, with some red
lights attached.

Also, the idea of fires on a distant hill makes sense.

Very nice responses,
Lex

looks like a fire.. i've seen several.. and the grey, lighter tint to the top of the red area looks like smoke lit up by the fire to make it appear a bit lighter.

It does not resemble a fire on a hill!
It seems like a hoax because there is no way if you had something like that in your sights, you would stop filming after a few short seconds.
Also the camera was warbling so much that it was impossible to keep an open mind to what you are seeing.
I am sorry if I was an investigator I would not be interested in a followup.

If that's a fake, it's pretty well done.

You can obviously see some sort of disk shaped body behind the lights, which would be hard to make, since this doesn't look like a CGI.

It also seems to be moving very slowly.

Great vid.

Notice how they always cut the footage right at the point where you might see too much?
