I'm Occam

Hi, a good friend from other boards invited me here, but I don't know her screen name yet to give her credit. I'm a crotchety 76 year old fud who's a congenital wise-ass. I'm overwhelmed by the breadth of your topics and the size of your site.

As a Southern Californian, I'm required to be strongly liberal socially, politically, and religiously. And, who am I to go against convention?

I like short posts, but 4,000 character maximum? Wow.

I've only been here for a short time, but I must say, this site is amazing! I really think you'll find quite a bit of stuff to read and you'll get alot of alternative viewpoints on major topics. Hopefully (if you don't already) it will help you think outside the box a bit, and come up with your own conclusions on subjects discussed here.

Either Skeptic was misquoted or I don't know, but I have an 8000 character maximum and I only have 500 odd posts. Weird, huh?

Well currently I can have up to 10,000 character posts, so unless I'm secretly a senior moderator or admin it's gone up.
