(CNN)-Celebrity heiress Paris Hilton was given a 45-day prison sentence by a Los Angeles court Friday for driving with a suspended license. She
swept into the Metropolitan Courthouse, ignoring screams from photographers lining the route like it was a movie premiere. She told the judge: "I'm
very sorry and from now on I'm going to pay complete attention to everything." He ruled out electronic tagging in lieu of jail time.

45 days might do her well.
Certainly not a horribly long period, but long enough to dry her out and make her quite uncomfortable.
Let's see how she comes out of it.

Naw, she's too rich to go to serious prison. She'll be going to a Club-Fed most likely.

Incredible!!! Paris without her dog or fancy coffees
Yippppeeeeee
Good luck...BTW, her mother is worse than she is. She was royally pissed that her darling socialite daughter would have to 'endure" such hard
times- 'cause she's special, and above the law.
Bye Bye, Paris
Aurevoir.
I hope she has the decency to bring some underwear to jail?

No club Fed, it's the county jail.
But I hear it's so crowded they usually just let people with sentences like this go the same day, so she may not even spend a night in jail.

DJ
She probably wont even have to be fitted for her little jumpsuit. If anything, it will be an electronic monitor which her lapdog will wear around
her/his neck.
Money solves all.

The funny thing is people are so over-hyping this and she won't be doing any serious time at all. I hear talk of books and made-for-tv movies.
Most likely it'll be Hilton's Life in the Big House: My Three-Hour Nightmare.

I just heard on FOX that Paris is asking Gov. Schwarzenegger for a pardon.
Do you think the Terminator will grant one? Something tells me no....

I think she's getting off VERY light.
If any one of us were to violate probation like she did, I think we'd get a little more than 45 days in jail.
She's very lucky in my opinion.

I just saw this in the papers.
The Governator should help her to get a good lawyer.
Why. Because she didn't listen to the one she had or was fool
enough not to have one.
Here is the situation: Her publicist, whom she immediatly fired after
her arrest, told her the license suspension was for 30 days and not the
4 months.
I mean with a good lawyer she might have gotten 30 days.
This situation should be dealt with like she's a good driver, not much to drink,
first time, too harsh, she follows the rules but were incorrect.
