can one argue that humans are born with knowledge

let's talk...

Its true, yes, I have many skill I developed during previous lives,
eveytime someone is said to have a "God give talent" it's something they learnt in a previous life,

^^^ And how do you know this? Prove it! Prove that we have had previous lives! Prove that we also remember our previous lives, if we have one.
Prove it all. My statement on the topic further above was based upon a common sense...upon rational thinking. Upon facts. Reincarnation is no fact!

Dude calm down, you sound like you are in hysterical rant mode,
I could relpy in an equaly rude manner, but as they say "Only a fool argues with a fool" so I'll give you the doubt a try one more time,

Okay lets see if we can help you,

1) I can't prove Reincarnation to you out side of my own memories. but I'm guessing that some how thats not enough for you, but if it was provable you would be living in a very different world,

look around you your eyes tell you the world is flat, right?,
but you know its not, right?, now imagine trying to explain that to people
thousand of years ago, good lucky

2) Reincarnation is fact, but I tell you what, explain to me what your definition of "fact" is and I'll see if we can work around that okay?

Life is made of two fullnesses.
100% Relative (The Creation)
100% Absolute (Brahman)

When Brahman is realized as one's own Self, then
Brahman is seen to be the "essence" of creation.
That is why Shankara says:
I AM THAT
Thou art THAT
All THIS (i.e. manifest creation) is nothing but THAT.

May you EXPERIENCE Brahaman within your own awareness.
Sounds strange to say "experience", but that is the best language
can do. Language is not a unifier. Just the opposite. Language
bifurcates everything into differences and contradictions.
When we say that we experience Brahman, it means that the Self
reveals ItSelf to ItSelf, By ItSelf. Thus, this is what is meant by
this experience. It is an experience where the Experiencer and that
which is experienced, and the process of experiencing, are one and the same:
Supreme Reality: Brahman.

Glory to GOD in the HIGHEST
and PEACE to HIS people on Earth.
Lord GOD,
Supreme King
Almighty GOD and FATHER
We Worship YOU
We give YOU thanks
We praise you for YOUR Glory.
Hosana Hosana Hosana in the HIGHEST.

Can't remember who wrote it up I have no links, some research was done in the reactions of infants too things like fires and snakes. From what I can recall the study showed that children who were too young to have life experience of these things reacted instinctively to this kind of stimulus.

Rupert Sheldrake might have done some work on it check him out.

Mega Points for throwing Sheldrakes name into the mix!

I think children are born with knowledge that would blow our minds.. Their brains arent developed enough to retain what they know and it fades away.

I absolutely believe that humans are more than just the products of our environments, education, etc.
There are those that remember from a very early age, before 1.
Sounds like nonsense, but there are those that have proven this to themselves. I also believe that every life is uploaded into something for all to share. Upon the ascendancy of our species, we may all be able to utilize the acquired knowledge of all that have come before.
Something with a opinion pertaining to this might be found here.

If only there was evidence for any of that... then you'd have a point.

As it is, there is no evidence for anyone having lived before, or for anyone being born with knowledge/memories.

None.

That is instinct, not knowledge. And nope - we're not born knowing how to swim (hence swimming lessons most kids have to take before they can swim).

Some animals, such as Gorillas, are also born not knowing how to swim. It's an evolutionary trait, not some kind of embedded knowledge thing.

There will always be unanswered questions. The simple fact is, there are instincts involved. A baby knows how to hold it's breath under water. All creatures know this. It's when they are deprived of air for a long period that makes them involuntarily gasp for air, thus causing drowning. All mammals know how to suckle, grasp, cry, be quiet, and learn. Most reptiles and otherwise come into the world ready to go, only mini versions.
While I sometimes do not agree that "we" are the most advanced species on the planet, "we" do often act like it. While there is absolutely no proof whatsoever that we carry and sort of genetic knowledge, or can tap into an aethereum, it is still fun to speculate and imagine it. Our imaginations will eventually help us to answer these questions. I do feel that there is more to our existence than just what we have learned over a lifetime. Alas, this is only conjecture.

I've always liked the notion of tabula rasa where we are born with a blank slate, no pre-knowledge. However, there is a slate there that is blank and that's the understanding - the unique capacity of the person to have knowledge by sense and reflection. passim John Locke.
