What happened to the "Digg it"

I was just wondering where the "Digg it" option went and why? Sorry if this has been discussed (as I'm sure it has), but I could not find it.

There is a thread here in BBQ somewhere where SkepticOverlord addresses this.

From what I understand, the "Flagging" system is basically a replacement of sorts for the "Digg" option that was briefly implemented.

I'll try to find the thread where S. O. discusses this.....

That Advance Search does work pretty good, I guess. Maybe we didn't need the Google search.
