Russians catch alien… and eat it?

That is the most repulsive looking gourmet food I have ever seen. I wouldn't eat it even if I was starving to death. Doesn't this face thing on it's underbelly creep people as much as it does to me?"! Yikes.

Reminds me of a bottom feeding fish/shark. It looks very much like something from our earths ocean.

Ordinary... and the photo is cropped so you are led to think it's a HUGE critter. The ray is actually swimming close to the surface of the aquaruim tank and the diver cleaning the tank is far in the background.

My grandma's favorite Skate recipe:

2 - 3 lbs fresh Skate steak

2 - 16" redwood roofing shingles

2 - 24" lengths of standard bailing wire

Place steak between shingles and wrap both ends firmly with bailing wire.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place in center of oven and bake for 15 min.
Remove from oven...throw away Skate and eat the shingles.
(butter sauce optional)

People eat many repulsive things such as snails, and frogs, slimy clams, even worms were very popular for a while. So, could eating a skate be much worse. Sure glad I'm a vegetarian.
