What has to happen for the Government to come clean?

What if the government has come clean and they have no more idea about what's going on than you (or I) do?

The government wouldn't like to admit they're baffled. So a nice, harmless statement that UFOs "apparently do not represent a security threat" to the nation, is a pretty good response. It implies that the government knows more about them than they really might, like they're under control of the situation.

Now, if a jet had accidentally smashed into that O'Hare UFO, that might be a little difficult to keep quiet, but it could be done. In spite of spying and leaks, the government does a pretty good job of keeping things on the down-low.

I wonder what we could have that would be so valuable to ET's that are so advanced.

If there are such a thing as ETs, it's pretty hard to guess what their thoughts and motivations might be like, since we only know our own, and we can barely understand ourselves. Human beings generally do things because they feel a need for something, to live, to reproduce, to communicate and control, etc.

Who knows what might go on in an alien mind?
