Whats in you wine cellar?

Just scored a bunch of the 04 W.H. Smith Pinots. More details to come, but on the other hand since none are posting

Dalat red wine (Made in Vietnam)

What kind of Burgandy is it? Ive given up on Burgandy and will concentrate of West Coast Pinot as they are way more affordable

Actually this is mountain burgundy, brand is almaden. It's in the box.
I believe this is actually a Californian wine rather than French.

I usually drink this one when eating less formal meals or non beef meals.

Here in Vietnam, you can buy cheap french table wine in bottles. Priced ranging from 5 to 10 USD a bottle.

When I am trying to save money, I usually buy the 2.5 USD a bottle of Vietnamese made wine Dalat Wine. (Not bad actually)

Ohh, it's red. White is also available, but I am not a fan of white wine.

I have no problem finding very drinkable wine in that price range in NYC. Lately, I've been buying a great double-bottle (1.5 L) of wine from Chile for only $9.


I do have a wine cellar fridge in my kitchen, but it's usually empty as I drink the wine as fast as I buy it. I want to start buying by the crate though when I find good deals and keep that thing stocked eventually.

I have the advantage of having a French girlfriend whose family furnish us with large quantities of high quality wine every Christmas.
We've got some nice pomerols, sauternes, tons of Bourgogne from Cote de Nuits and Beaune, some nice wines from Provence, and some various Bordeaux wines.

They know their wine on a completely different level to us non-frenchies, right down to knowing the winemakers personally and how they grow their vines.
We can be looking at some expensive wine in Selfridges and I'll spot a nice looking bottle of Nuit St Georges and she'll go "I went to school with his son, he's an idiot and his family are merde at making wine"

I'm a Reisling girl That's my favorite There is a winery not far from my house Wasson Brothers and they have a couple of wines that I really like. I like the Early Muscat, and Oregon White Riesling. They also have some delicious dessert wines that goes wonderful with chocolate cake....the raspberry one it great

Actually, I buy local whenever I can. Currently, I'm on a Huber Winery kick. How can you not love something from a place called Starlight, Indiana?
