American Football: arena football player dies during game

LOS ANGELES - Former NFL defensive lineman Al Lucas died Sunday from a presumed spinal cord injury sustained while trying to make a tackle for the Los Angeles Avengers during an Arena Football League game, the team said.

Lucas was taken to California Hospital and all attempts to revive him were unsuccessful, team physician Dr. Luga Podesta said in a statement

wow that's really sad. Just goes to show how dangerous a game like football is.

yea it is a very dangerous sport, especially with arena football, and those walls, football is a contact sport so you are going to have to expect the worst at times, which is very sad.

Any sport is very dangerous, nascar is dangerous, baseball is dangerous with the balls flying around at 100 mph.
