once again it comes down to the season ending series between these two powerhouses in the AL east, as tired as i am of this over hyped rivalry i am excited about this weekends games According to Elias, the only time New York had a lead with four games to go and failed to win was 1904, back when the Yankees were called the Highlanders

i would love to see the sox sweep the yanks in Fenway with the tribe sneaking into the playoffs while the bronx bombers watch the post season from home

GO RED SOX

Boston wins game one 5-3, the nerves were showing tonight, sloppy fielding by the yankees was almost offset by bad baserunning by the red sox, Wells pitched well to pick up the win

that game had more hype to it..and more exciting for the people coming into the game...but the Chisox/indians had a tremendous game as well.

What happens if the Sox, Yanks, and Indians all tie at the end of the season?

Looks like we're gonna have another post-season with those damn Yankees. They have the division, and I think it's obvious the Sox are gonna get the Wild-Card.

this could set up another red sox yankees championship, would be another classic struggle, it's time for Varitek to feed some more leather to Arod
