Go Directly to Jail

Jack Abramoff is in jail. This is for his conviction in Florida for fraud. He will continue to cooperate with attorneys on the Washington bribery case. Federal officlials were concerned that being in prison in Pennsyvania might make it more difficult to carry on the Washington case, so he was moved to the closer Maryland facility.



It's nice to see a white collar criminal doing time. I think that all criminals should serve time even while they are appealing their cases. That's one of the glaring inequities of our justice system, the rich delay prison by appeals, the poor go to jail.
I hope Jack doesn't have too difficult a time adjusting to the new pay scale. Perhaps it will build character! Maybe he will find God in prison and see the error of his way. In any event I hope he has a very long time to think about his crimes.

Give 'em all a fair trial, and then toss 'em all in the clink. Agreement across the political spectrum? My goodness...did the world shift while I was asleep or something?

It is good to see an influence peddler answer for criminal behavior. It'll be even nicer to see some of the oh so shocked polititions answer for their behaviour too.
