They banned smoking here in Colorado, only casinoes and cigar shops are exempt, where our casinoes have bars built into most of them... The rule even
goes as far as this, ever seen a restraunt like Hooters or a Black eyed pee where they have a patio that can be covered up durring the winter with a
roll-over tarp so that people can still eat? Durring the summer, when the tarp is off, it's still illigal to go out on that patio to have a smoke.
You have to go out the main entrance and be at least 15 feet away from the door if you want to smoke.
I've lived with smokers all my life, and am a smoker my self (about to quit and am happy about it), but even being around people that smoke, you can
smell it, almost taste it, and it has ill effects on your health. However, as far as I'm concerned, if you're gonna go to a bar, you should expect
to be around smokers. But not here anymore, smokers have to go outside despite weather conditions. The local bar I go to every now and then was nice
enough to set up chairs outside the front door where people can go to smoke.
To tell you the truth, I use to be all for smokers, but now'a'days I can see the other side of the fence and why some people who can afford to eat
at Red Lobster every other night, would want to kick the smokers out. But insted the law has hit every bar around the state, even biker bars like the
one I go to. Everyone I've met there was a smoker, but they continue to go because of the good company.
I'm really on the fence on this issue. Can't think of anything else to say. Man it's late.
