Socialism and Fascism Who Are We?

If you look at the definition of these words would they not describe our country today?

There is a lot of good reading here that I have found very informative and thought provoking. Would these definitions define our Democrats and Republicans?
I know that some of you know a lot about history and politics and would like a good discussion on this.

I am curious that no one has any thoughts on this. I think our parties follow these 2 definitions very closely.
